Here’s an interesting idea I’m curious if anyone else thinks is a great idea.

I’ve seen many videos on YouTube, and thumbnails of characters that would be super interesting to add in Dead By Daylight. I’ve seen Sonic.Exe, Slenderman, SpringTrap, and many more! Though there is one being I haven’t seen that I think would be super amazing if he was in the game. I introduce, Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid!! Just imagine the haunting music of a bass toned choir like the boss fight as the chase music. There would also be a slight possession ability of his where he makes every survivor scream! His basic attack would be his one scene where in the game MGS1, he tells you to put the controller down, and you hear loud bangs as he flails his arms around. Only difference is, he just flails his arms around and it counts as a hit. Last, but certainly not least, his mori would be him controlling you with strings like he does to people with nanomachines, and causes you to bend extremely hard, causing you to die from the violent movements. Please let me know what you think of the idea, cause I think this would be a diamond in the rough in my opinion, but yet again, I am kind of biased about Metal Gear. XD

Third Child is a great character, but Metal Gear was never a horror series (and as far as I know there isn't a single MGS horror installment at all), so unlike FNaF or creepypastas like Sonic.Exe or Slenderman, he just doesn't fit thematically. He is an icon, just not a horror icon.

It would make as much sense as adding James Bond as a survivor or something.

Funny thing is, I was kind of thinking that too. Like if they had to put a survivor alongside that killer, they’d probably have to go with someone like Otocon, or someone who doesn’t really have like guns or weapons of any kind. I can also understand the whole, Metal Gear not being horror related, but I can’t help, but wonder if Psycho Mantis is just that good of a character to be added in anyway. Maybe as a cosmetic for the nurse?

I’ve never played Metal Gear so no opinion. I agree that a killer who can briefly possess survivors could be fun though, provided the possession doesn’t last too long but is still an effective tool.

Well, having or not having guns/weapons doesn't really matter much for survivors. Bill, Chris and Jill are trained soldiers. Leon, Cybil and Tapp are trained cops. Nancy, James, Jonathan and Claire know how to use a gun. Cheryl literally killed a God. Ash is basically a killing machine and lore-wise if given any weapon would've killed killers easy mode. I'd imagine David King is no stranger to weapons outside of fists too. So if Metal Gear Solid was ever to come to Dead by Daylight as a full-on chapter, corresponding survivor would most likely be Solid Snake.

A skin for Nurse in style of Psycho Mantis (despite her already having several gas masks) would be badass.

The idea is pretty cool, despite Metal Gear not being a horror game, as others have mentioned.

I would love to have a killer who can manipulate the actions of survivors for a brief moment (like, forcing them to work on gens with others and intentionally fail a skill check, or drop items they're carrying, etc.). It would be an interesting power to have in the game!
