Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

What if your build affected matchmaking?

What would people think if there was some way to make your build affect who you were matched with? Obviously it would have to be locked once you were in a lobby but I feel like something like this would be a pretty healthy change to the game.

e.g. survivors using builds like BT, DS, DH, IW were matched with killers using SH: PR, PGTW, Ruin, Tinkerer. Whereas survivors using more niche builds were paired against killers doing the same.

While it might sound good... it won't work well... it will become a real mess, especially with difficulty of defining a niche builds...

No way sometimes you want to change your loadout if you see 4 toolboxes or medkits its not a good idea

Right now, I don't think it would matter. I just don't think the killer/survivor population per rank is really there to facilitate a "fair" game no matter how you do it.

Nah. First of all, it would make the queue even longer. Second, people that want to play niche builds typically want to see how they do in real gameplay. They don't want an easier matchup in order to make it work.

that would mean you would be forced to one build when you load since its affect who you are matched with
