I faced multiple cheaters today
It wasn't 1, 2 or 3, no, it was 6 cheaters today. 6 cheaters. I really don't know what to say here.

Do you have video proof? That's a big claim.
I'm not disputing that there's a cheating problem, but usually it comes without evidence when the claim is this large.

When I face cheaters I start recording. Make sure to read the instructions when reporting to BHVR and the platform. They ask for specifics that are easy to misread.

I don't have video proof since I'm playing on Xbox and Switch. I know seeing is believing so take this with a grain of salt.
I faced hackers who did a hook animation hack, flying in air, running as Sonic the Hedgehog and healing themselves and other survivors from the ground in nanoseconds. The 2 worst hackers that I played against were the one who took the game hostage and forced me to leave the match which, of course, penalized me.

You too? I just got out of a Demo game against a subtle speed hacker. Realized something was up when I wasn't really gaining distance at bloodlust 3.

I mean streamers have proof that they go against 6 cheater idk why you would need it from someone that claims to gone against 6 cheaters when you already know the cheating problem is so large.

Because hyperbole is a bigger problem, it slaps a disingenuous face on real issues and makes it difficult to problem solve or discuss rationally.
I've watched a few streamers, I've never seen one get 6 cheaters in a day. But I would accept that video too and would gladly eat crow if you have an example.

People do report others too easily too without any proof. I got called a speed hacker yesterday while i was playing pinhead. Of course i wasnt but the survivors who died reported me of speed hacking.
Before blaming anyone its good to have hard evidence first or at least clearly see that the killer or survivor is doing super weird stuff and maybe take screenies out of it at least.
Not saying the game doesnt have a hacker problem it does, ive even met few. I've met survivor lag switchers, ive met killers that know where you are 100% of the time even in lockers across the map and ive met survivors and killer who put that 1% more speed so they have an edge.

I dont exactly have a vod in my back pocket but people have gone against cheater squads of 3 or 4 then face more later on. Especially now that there has been a list of streamers thats been revealed for cheaters to stream snipe.

Like I said, if someone whos me 6 cheaters in one day I'll gladly eat crow. I've seen one a day myself, sometimes, I've seen other people maybe encounter two. But most of the time what I see is streamers going "Holy cow, was that a hacker?" And then they review the video and the perks post game and find explanations for what occured.

Do they happen more often in higher ranks?
I never encountered a hacker/cheater yet

I know on Tru's streams he's gotten multiple in a day more frequently lately. Of course he's always in perfect position to record and report them, but your average player doesn't have obs running while playing just in case they need to reactively record evidence of a hacker. Hell with how bad optimization is, some people can't even run any type of streaming or recording software or risk halving their framerate.

I use the Xbox Game Bar to record clips. It's quite easy to grab the last 30 seconds without having it record the entire game. NVIDIA have a similar tool.
The problem is less incentive to go to the trouble of making a ticket, because I noticed all the hackers lately have been cross platform low rank accounts. So probably one of thousands of Epic Game store accounts currently available to hackers.

And the reporting system is absolutely awful, too. I get it, the whole thing is frustrating. But I am still skeptical of the grandiose claims people make when they don't reconcile with my personal experiences. Everyone says the higher your MMR the more hackers you get, but at this point I don't know how many teams I have to 4k as Nurse to start getting the same results other people are getting.
If people said the opposite, that low MMR is what's being abused because these accounts are getting reported and banned before they reach high MMR, then I could stomach it better, as all 3 hacker experiences I had were when I first started playing a killer and presumably my MMR was lower.

"subtle" cheating has become more and more of a thing lately. A lot of them are getting better at hiding it than instahealing the second they get downed and other similar red flags. Of course, many (if not the majority) of cheating claims are just from people either not understanding a mechanic or being salty, but every time an eyebrow is raised it feels like it needs to be questioned lately with how prolific its becoming.

thats funny because i had about that amount yesterday aka when you did and it was the first time i had seen any in 8 months and sure enough i got a dwight flying around insta healing everyone screaming and insta finishing gens. that was...... interesting the other survivors just felt bad for me cuz i was playing pinhead so it's not like i could suprise mori the hacker with tombstone or any of that all i could do was watch them fly over the temple of purgation with a trail of notifications and hook sound effects

least i didn't get dedosed

Welp without video evidence then absolutely nothing will happen to them

I ran into a obvious cheater with 1000+ hours and the steam comments was full of hack accuses.

Like anything will happen to them anyway. Accounts are dirt cheap and people have made hundreds of accounts when dbd was free on epic games. Lets hope whatever they did to try and combat cheaters can be a semi fix to where they have a live system to detect "this person is moving faster than normal for x amount of time without x perks or medkit addon"

Detective Tapp for anticheat: "Freeze! This is DBD Police! You're moving over the limit!"

true kinda doubt it though tbh
