DS is a wasted perk slot. Competent killers deal with it. Incompetent killers complain about it to no end, but they can't be helped anyway, they are doomed to wait for an eternity for dev Mum and dev Dad to solve their problems.
Personally, I'm much more worried about Dark Sense, Iron Will and Urban Evasion; survivor perks that are actually worth a #########.

So what you're saying basically is that a get-out-of-jail-free card is okay? Interesting. It's basically the equivalent of the killer being able to turn a generator off that had been fully repaired.

No it's not. Tell you how it is:
    1/ pick up
    2/ DS
3/ within ten seconds, down them again
    4/ hook
    5/ DC

@George_Soros Ok for people supporting DS due to being downed quickly that's the users falt. BAD DS users either always miss or they use it in the open. You should only use the perk if you are near a pallet or on your last hook, while I hate this perk I did use it for a week the week before and noticed that I could easily waste at least 40 seconds in the red ranks when not being stupid. My best game with DS was useing it on my second hook near the big loop on the coal tower map. I was the first guy found and was getting tunneled for already running him around for two gens. I used DS, looped him for another gen then got away to heal. He found me again and I was able to last in tell someone got a gate open and I escaped. While that was my best one, I also got a TON of free hatch and gate escapes thanks to DS that I did not deserve. The worst part about this perk is that everyone can use it and if they are good its pretty much gg. For the record. About the match i described before, the killer was a really good billy main who I face pretty often. He did not suck and has destroyed me and the other survivors almost every match I've played against him (mainly due to the other survivors being idiots)

Fyi I am a killer main but my headset recently broke so I have been playing a lot of survivor while trying out different builds with my meg.

The only way to really make it so only 1 person per match has it l, would be to create survivor kits for every survivor and bake DS into Laurie’s kit.

Then, make it so only 1 survivor is selectable per trial. Effectively eliminating a 4 Laurie squad.

Make the survivors think and strategize with team composition. Give them more than looping and being M1 skill check warriors.

I will say, I do not see this ever happening. I am only saying it’s the one way I’ve thought of to mitigate DS, and some other “tryhard builds.”

NOED is fine where it is, but that doesn't stop me from disliking it.
Whether DS is fine or not, as long as they keep the core mechanic intact, which they will, i won't like it.

Why is that the ONLY way? There are many other work arounds for that
