Why

Play killer more and you’ll understand why. I’m not saying you’ll start doing it yourself, but you’ll definitely get it.
3 -
Nobody said it didn't. Your argument is invalid.
1 -
Why would you want to hold MMR? You can't see your rating and there is no reward for doing so.
More over it doesn't even matter as matches are just as random as they ever were.
2 -
camping especially proxy camping isn't a toxic attack on your fun. In fact as chasing gets less and less viable (validation, 1v1 second chance meta, fast healing, wriggle buff, etc etc) then camping becomes more viable.
A survivor hooked in the basement... bird in the hand and all. Unless you are actively in another chase or have found survivors and are directly pressuring them by getting them off a gen, then circling back to the basement on your patrol makes perfect sense.
Two people in the basement dead space one of whom is injured... spicy, you'd be daft not to pressure that scenario and even more daft to expect someone else not to.
Your second example demo closed the hatch before hooking you, its worth BPs to do so and you have a much greater chance of escape if its still open. Again demo wandering around to close it makes sense and is in no way a toxic attack on your fun.
It doesn't matter what your build was as both of your examples are valid gameplay.
Quitting because of them is just silly and genuinely game ruining for others.

DS, DH, Unbreakable. Nothing wrong with running the absolute meta but OP shouldnt be surprised if the other side decides to play a certain way around them.
5 -
hmm ok run detectives hunch/ blast mine, circle of healing, borrowed time, and lithe
i guess the only second chance I run is borrowed time

Quits at the first hint of annoyance and the Killer is lazy?
10 -
Think of it this way. Would you as a survivor do 25% of a gen leave and go do 25% of another gen then leave and repeat that cycle until all gens are done? Not very effective to completing your objective huh!!!!! lol
3 -
BT is a second chance but not the in the same realm of the others, BT is great.
2 -
bro you should delete this your getting heat from everyone
1 -
Argument invalid? It wasn't an argument, lol. I never said anyone in this thread said that.
1 -
I mean atleast he is not a quitter.

Why do you want to finish gens so badly? Is there a cash prize at the end of the exit gate?
Sometimes people want to play sweaty, both survivor or killer side. Both sides play to win. L opinion. See you tomorrow lel

First 2 comments are exactly why Devs should make Borrowed Time basekit and killers who proxy-camp stop the hook-timer bar.
Playing Killer requires way more multi-tasking but as the Killer you are NEVER removed from the game because of cheap and <<UNFAIR>> """""""""tatctics""""""""
1 -
how are you gonna simultaneously say that killers are playing lazy and like their lives depend on it in the same paragraph? Like you gotta realize how hypocritical that is right?
3 -
should make Borrowed Time basekit
Oh good; infinite bodyblocking. 🙄
and killers who proxy-camp stop the hook-timer bar.
Rofl, worst idea ever. Survivors would run the Killer around the hook to give the 4th infinite time to do gens. The idea was tried and abused. It's never, ever coming back.
8 -
You play the game to win. You don't just play it to play it. Why would the killer not attempt to get a 4k if that is an option?
3 -
It shouldn’t be base kit
1 -
Well, first of all, too late they already got it.
And second, seeing that the op never interacted with any comments to make this a discussion, i guess that was their goal and over 2 pages worth of commentators fell for the bait .
1 -
. . . What?
1 -
Classic survivor main clown 🤡
1 -
They don’t need to proxy camp, face camp or tunnel you. They just need to run into the forum and open a new topic about something what is too op which overwhelms their horizon. Done! That’s how to do it. xD

Devs have told us that kills = skill and kills = win.
A killer getting two kills by camping, tunneling and noed is more skilled than a killer getting eight hooks and no kills according to the lead designer.
So, you did not play against lazy killers, you played against the most skilled ones.
4 -
Why are Survivors so desperate to escape?
3 -
and by quitting you have actively rewarded her playstyle, congratulations.
thanks to you she just got a lot more kills than she should have and now she is going to keep this behavior up for future encounters with future survivors, because it worked like a charm before.
1 -
Since killer can see unfinished gens, he should guide survivors to them
1 -
How many slowdowns? 6 with add ons?

Something something hockey analogy.

This has ALWAYS been an issue since release.
Camping tunneling killers.
Survivors turned to just leaving games if a killer was super sweaty. Leaving those killers back in the queue where they belonged. Things were OK at that time. Naturally killers whined and so d/c penalties have been introduced.
Sweaty killers have just gotten progressively worse since then.
It's an absolute miserable experience for new soloQ survivors as a result. At this stage I just assume the devs have access to an infinite number of new survivors because their design choices at this point have soloQ survivors right at the bottom. Maybe most new pleys start off playing with friends?
That's the only thing I can imagine at this point.
But don't expect the devs to change anything to reduce this. Playing killer now is easier than at any point at release and that's been the trajectory of the game for some time.
1 -
Whenever someone uses 'Sweaty Killers' I know what they're really saying is 'I'm bad at the game, so I's shaming my opponent for winning in ways I don't approve of. Which is all of them.' 🙃
4 -
LOL.
I like your user name. It makes sense. 😀
1 -
I have yet to be angry but sure, thanks. It always amuses me when people point out my name, as if it's some big 'got ya!' moment.
1 -
OP 'WHY ARE KILLERS SO DESPERATE'
We can smell yours a mile away.
gg

Maybe read better next time. it's about the desperation and the ways they're willing to go, slugging for 2 minutes just to find the 4th one even though they already won, or camp in situations where they have already the upper hand. That's your typical depserate killer main who let's out his anger on survivors who are also just humans. The equivalent of this would be survivors who don't go out just to bully the killer some more.

i play killer myself and i don't get a lot of those things. I get it when you tunnel or camp in a close game because you need a kill at one gen left or someone is close to dying. But i don't get killers who play sweaty AF in an already won game, when i see the survivors are struggling i go for 12 hooks so everyone has a chance of getting enough BP and have a good time. I don't slug for the 4k because i don't give a **** about my MMR rating or the 4k, i know i have won the game already and that is what counts for me. If they get hatch fine for them, we have another happy survivor who won't be toxic next game.

I can only speak personally. Im very "sweaty" as they call it these days (lol smh) and i want a 4K every single game. Im super cometetive though and everyone should not be like me. With that being said 4K raises your MMR for "that" respective killer. It makes no difference to me if players like you who cant hack it just quit the game but i always found it funny. This falls into that entitlement discussion where survivors (and this is not just DBD but in competition in general) dont like the way someone plays so they rq, and i say to that they act like spoiled little children who cant get they're way.
This game is in survivors favor, how much in survivors favor is debatable but you really cant come down on people for playing the way they want to play, whether it seems overexcessive to you or not. I main killer but the issue i have playing as survivor is that everytime i play my Descisive survivor the killer so happens to respect my DS but when i DONT have DS the killer doesnt respect and just tunnels me! Not saying anything about it its just one of those things that are annoying so to remedy this im just gonna play my DS survivor more.
So in summary, 4K's raise your MMR and also there are players like me who hate survivor so much (being put on bad maps constantly, Boil Over strats etc) that we want that 4K which is personal.

Hopefully.

Lmao
So true, so true!!!! People have such piss poor mentalities and or contradict themselves.
This post is great because it sums up the mentality of survivor. Damned entitlist!!!! lol

I read perfectly fine. You're shaming Killers for doing something you deem 'sweaty' to get a 4K instead of giving you a chance to get away.
slugging for 2 minutes just to find the 4th one even though they already won
Translation: 'He should have been happy with the 3K & risked me finding the hatch.'
or camp in situations where they have already the upper hand
Translation: 'He was already winning, so why did he keep trying to win further?'
That's your typical depserate killer main who let's out his anger on survivors who are also just humans
Or maybe he just wanted the 4K and now you're angry he did not let you go instead.
1 -
I'm sorry but so many posts in this thread are just stupid arguments.
A killer defending a hook, chasing down an injured survivor which is wekaer than a fully healed one, slugging 3rd survivor to give time to find the 4th for the 4k is all valid play.
Time and again you see people constantly call on the killer player to attenuate their playstyle so that survivors can have the maximum chance to complete their objective in the name of fun.
Getting downed, hooked or killed early is part of the game.
"Why are survivors always so desperate to escape, why can't they pause doing gens and get caught to slow the game down" See that statement is just as stupid.
There are a bunch of posts here that just assume that the killer taking his anger out on people, when the very point of the game is killers kill survivors.
The more efficiently they do that the quicker they win. Same as survivors repair gens and the more efficiently they do that the quicker they win. Why is one of these scenarios a toxic attack on others fun while the other is gameplay as normal? Its bullshit.
Projecting your anger about losing onto your opponent is just you trying to shelter your bruised ego. Stop being a sore loser.

Honestly, the best thing to do is run up to the killer and just give him the kill. If the killer is so desperate for kills that they facecamp or camp within about 8 meters, just give the kill to them. It allows you to move to the next game and have fun.
1 -
I love how the killer can be 'desperate for a kill', as if trying to win is bad.
But Survivors are never 'desperate for a gen'. It's only Killers who can be too good.
2 -
A desperate survivor "facecamping" a gen doesn't stop the killer from playing the game. Why are you bothered by a survivor trying to have fun by getting to the next game. Suiciding on hook and running up to the killer is as much in the game as facecamping.
1 -
This is just an example of how people have ideas but they don't really think them through:
"killers who proxy-camp stop the hook-timer bar."
BHVR tried this. It was abused to all hell by survivors as many who thought about it said it would have been.
1 -
A desperate survivor "facecamping" a gen doesn't stop the killer from playing the game
Why do people keep thinking being hooked is not playing the game? It's in the game. It's meant to happen. Thus; you are playing the game. This argument is bullshit that translates to 'A Survivor being faceamped is not winning. We're angry we lost. Now, we will screech and shame and insult Killers for winning.'
2 -
Why should a survivor stay if they aren't having fun. Are killers mad that survivors can suicide.
1 -
Where did I say anything about Survivors staying or leaving? Or are you moving the goalposts because I tore apart your petty 'Killers bad for winning!' tripe?
3 -
Where did I say "Killers bad for winning". You must have trouble with reading comprehension.

'Honestly, the best thing to do is run up to the killer and just give him the kill. If the killer is so desperate for kills that they facecamp or camp within about 8 meters, just give the kill to them.'
Right there, you shame Killers for winning in a non-Survivor-approved way. Looks like you need some reading comprehension of your own.
3 -
That is not saying "Killers bad for winning". How in the world are you getting "Killers bad for winning" from that? lol.
"Desperate for kills" does not equal "Killers bad for winning"
I will admit that my sentence and your sentence have "kill" in it.
