Pig's Reverse Bear Trap didn't kill a survivor

I was playing Pig on Yamaoka Estate when I noticed that someone's active trap had stopped beeping. Whenever I let her wiggle out of my grasp, the death beep would play, and then the trap's light would turn off. I let her out through the exit gates and the trap didn't kill her either.
