Deadlock and pain resonance
Shouldn't SH pain resonance work with deadlock? If a gen pops and deadlock blocks the most progressed gen shouldn't pain resonance also start regressing it?
Just had a match where twice I hooked someone right after a gen was completed and neither time did pain resonance work.

Blocked gens can't explode, be damaged, or start regressing. If Pain Resonance activates, it'll just move to the next highest repaired generator - it's probably an intentional thing to stop you from stacking strong regression/blocking perks. Pretty much all the good gen slowdown perks have poor synergy with each other; for example, Ruin doesn't regress blocked gens so it doesn't work with Deadlock and DMS, and you can't kick gens with Ruin up so it doesn't work with Pop and Eruption.

It probably is an intentional thing but how strong would it really be? Deadlock blocks a gen for 30 seconds, does any other perk block for longer? The regression wouldn't be that oppressive. Same with PGTW through a blocked gen, it wouldn't be OP.
Though if that's the case it must've been coincidence that only 2 gens had progress during that chain so deadlock activated after gen 1 completed, so gen 2 gets blocked and there is no gen 3 to pop.

I mean, Deadlock+Ruin would be absolute misery if blocked gens regressed. Same with DMS and Ruin. Deadlock activates and boom, your gen is now Ruin regressing for 30 whole seconds with nothing you can do about it, multiple times a game. The complaints alone would be agony.

At low to mid mmr that would be a problem but at high mmr it probably wouldn't make a difference

One exception: Surge does work on blocked gens.

Both Deadlock and DMS force survivors working on the gen off. Add in other perks like Pain Resonance (also knocks survivors off for DMS) or Surge to knock off more progress and even high mmr players would struggle to get gens done through constantly blocked gens that are regressing. The level of play that could deal with it would be tournament squads and even then I expect some part of that combo would get banned if blocked ever worked like that.
I think the block mechanic is fair as it is.

if a gen is entity blocked it can not be affected by anything

That's bad design

nah, bad design is not being able to use pop on a gen that is either ruin'd or blocked by the killer (the survivor perk should still prevent it.) There are multiple weird bad synergies like that on both sides, but it seems to affect the more meta killer perks. At least with stuff like the exhaustion system for survivors it makes more sense.

What will happen in that instance is SH pain resonance will find another gen with the most progress and if no gen have progress exept the blocked gen SH pain resonance wont trigger.
If a gen is regressing and its get block the regressing will stop until the gen is unblock.

Can confirm that dead man's switch is already banned in several comp leagues already for the exact reason you mentioned.
