My Friend Is Being Held Hostage and Wants Advice.

He's playing Pig and he got a hacker.

He's on Eyrie of Crows and they've hooked themselves and are outlasting the EGC.

I don't want to give him the wrong advice. It's currently been 30 minutes and it's fairly obvious the guy isn't going to leave him alone. Should my friend DC?

He should make a video clip and then after some time when it’s clear it’s a hacker/hostage situation they can disconnect via the settings menu, make an in-game report (which is mandatory) and then file an additional user report ticket here (they will need account info from the user they reported:

if you have the clip it’s best to upload it as an (unlisted) video on YouTube or another platform and attach the link in the issue description in the ticket

edit: your friend will ‚suffer‘ from the dc penalty, but when it’s his first dc recently it should only be only 5 min, it’s situations like these why the penalty start so low (and it’s the fault of people abusing the dc feature that there is a penalty at all)

You need the SteamID64 only if you are playing on Steam, consoles and other platforms have no way to get to the profile by clicking on the name, so you just need to put the nickname on the report and mention in the description that you are playing on a different platform.
