Monstrous Shrine - add a second basement?
A different thread got me thinking about Monstrous Shrine again, and I realized many maps have more than one possible location for the basement. What if one of the effects of Monstrous Shrine was that it made the map spawn both basements simultaneously? And for maps with only one possible basement, maybe it just makes hooks spawn closer together in general?
Would having a second basement be too powerful? Not powerful enough? Hmm....

Two basements on maps allowing it I think would be fine. Survivors could even know there are 2 of them if they used one of the two basement hook reveal offerings and begin playing around this new knowledge. Certainly not too broken or anything

All i want is for MS to make the basement hooks scourge hooks, and/or make scourge hooks not consumed on sacrifice or immune to sabatoge

Monstrous Shrine making the basement have Scourge Hooks is a good secondary effect, it would still need something else too to be useful on its own though.

Well easy, all it has to do is make all scourge hooks have the effects of current MS. On top of making the basement have scourge hooks. Maybe scratch the sabatoge immunity and keep them breakable on sacrifice out of the basement

The only problem there is the current Monstrous Shrine effects are really terrible. Who cares about a penalty to pulling yourself off a hook or a couple of seconds shaved off the entity timer? It needs something slightly better than that.

They could certainly tweak the maps to have a second basement, I wouldn't say they can "easily" do it though since it would involve adding an entirely new tile to them and modifying the tile where the extra basement could appear. That's why I was thinking that, in lieu of the second basement on those maps, they just reduce the hook distance like they do with the oak offerings. Since that oak effect already exists in the game it's probably somewhat straightforward to include it in a perk.

I share the sentiment that MS should interact with Scourge Hook perks, applying the effects to basement hooks as well as 4 random hooks, in addition to the effect it already has.

It should be a scourge hook perk and the basement hooks should be scourge hooks in addition to other 4 hooks on the map. Even then it probably needs some buffs though

That's actually not a bad idea. But, about MS making basement into scourge hooks, i'd prefer if it was a base kit feature for scourge hooks instead of a perk. Even if it is not a bad idea either (it would be the equivalent of undying for scourge hooks perks).

SOURGE HOOK: MONSTROUS SHRINE
If the killer hook a survivor the basement he suffer from a -10% penalty on all actions for 90s
Easy fix.

I think that's a neat idea and could make a good perk out of it, another idea you could do is make it so unhooked survivors are inflicted with Broken or Deep Wound, could also make it a Scourge Hook perk, but also makes basement hooks scourge hooks.
