its the game hard locked to 120fps?
I have a 165hz monitor, and even with the ini edit it never goes above 120

You will not notice the difference between 120-144-165hz and while there is a way you can force it above 120fps you break the physics of the game so it doesn't make sense. Be happy with 120fps/hz, it is a massive improvement over the default

If the physics broke at 120fps+, then the physics would be tied to the framerate, which clearly isn't the case since people play at 60-120fps with no broken physics. I'm curious what your source is for the physics being broken at 120fps+, because this game didn't have the cap a while ago and many people ran it just fine with no broken physics at 120fps+. ONLY thing I can remember that broke due to framerate was Deliverance on the PTB, but that was at 60fps+, which was fixed soon after anyway. (Edit: Apparently this might not have been due to framerate anyway lol)
Tell that to the people who play OW at 300-400fps when its tickrate is 62.5-63Hz. Again, curious as to what your source is or if you just don't have one.
People need to stop making up excuses for the devs doing stuff to the game that they don't need to do, like not letting you delete the intro video anymore, or forcing their awful antialiasing on Low (which was to fix their broken hair implementation to be fair). The game doesn't get better for more people if you constantly defend dumb decisions.

As with many things involving making dbd run better your mileage may vary, drastically. The best thing I can tell you is to consult one of many youtube videos about uncapping dbd's framerate.
It make look great for your, it may break something for others as is the nature of gaming on pc where hardware and software specs vary wildly from rig to rig.

Slight correction, unless we mean 2 different things Deliverance was bugged based on luck over 100 (with deliverance giving +96 to the base 4 luck) and not framerate

Hmm, can't remember exactly but I just remember at the time it wasn't working for many people until they locked their framerate to 60. Even so, if you're right that means there have never been any bugs tied to framerate lol. I'm willing to stand corrected.
