I've seen some killers talk about feeling badly for being "toxic" by bleeding out survivors when they use boil over.
I've been running it and honestly, if you bleed me out good for you. That's pretty much the best way to handle it. I've got one unbreakable and then after that I'm just a slug vibing for the rest of my timer.
Don't worry about me, I have tenacity and I'm going to show you that I'm the fastest slug you'd ever seen. This is me screwing around and finding out. This is the consequences of my own actions.

It's just...so boring.
I don't play DbD to watch a slug for 10 minutes.
Once the Lunar Event is over, I think I'll be taking a break. The devs and I seem to have a very different idea of what is fun.

I have no idea why a killer would feel bad for bleeding someone out running Boil Over.
I don't like to do it because I find it boring but if my options are to bleed you out or let you go because I can't get you to a hook because of your perk, then so be it. I'm not going to feel bad for adjusting my strategy to deal with problems that have no other recourse.

There's a difference between slugging and slugging to bleed out. When I play Oni, I'll slug. But there's a difference between me downing 3 survivors and then hooking them one by one, and slugging 3 survivors on RPD library, and instead of hooking them (because I can't), they're going to bleed out on the ground.

I don't feel bad. I feel bored. It's tedious. I want to be chasing and dancing around with survivors, not playing the Superhot version of Whack-A-Mole.
Slugging isn't new.
Mandatory slugging is. Or at least, it's made it's comeback from the times where a survivor could crawl into certain spots to be immune to pickups.
Survivors don't like being slugged. I know I don't enjoy slugging.
Why are we pushing killers towards more slugging? Surely we should be doing the...opposite?

That's why I don't like to do it. It's not out of some chivalrous love over the survivors enjoyment, it's just really boring for me :D

I just run Boil Over with No Mither. Can’t slug me and a 1 hit down doesn’t matter when you can’t hook me lol.

I've been running Iron Grasp + Agitation + Mad Grit. Doesn't do much vs an average team, but absolutely decimates these Boil Over squads.
No slugging required.

The thing is no one is pushing killers to slug more. It's rather that if a survivors keeps on purposely going up to a location, that they know the killer cannot physically get them to a hook, to troll or whatever. Then in that case no one will blame the killer for slugging. Since it's basically the survivors asking to get slugged. I had a bill and dwight doing that on the raccoon police department, and a kate on the thompson house. And you know what, they keep getting slugged since they were purposely going up there.
