Your feelings about Pinhead ? And need some help
Hi,
I bought the DLC few weeks ago but just played one or two games with him. Since he has his voice lines back, I started to really play him alot and he seems so strong.
I don't really know at which MMR I am but with 300h of playtime, mainly in killer with good kill average, I guess I'm more high than low. I say that because in 15 games streak, I did 12 times 4k and 3 times 3k cause of the hatch. He looks strong so but maybe it's because I'm not as high in MMR as I think. :)
Anyway I would to know what do you think about him, I know it's not the strongest one but he is for sure not a low-tier.
Any advices on which perks are best one him ?
Atm I use BBQ, Pain Resonance,DMS and Thanato.
I heard that Franklin is good with him but it seems that each times I teleport myself to the box, it's too late to get it.
I really enjoy him and his voice lines are priceless but I wanted to know if he's really good even at higher (highest?) MMR ?
His power is really strong to counter loop but when I encounter better players, they succeed to escape really fast (a buff about that is possible in the future ?)..
Any advices to play him ? What are the best add-ons on him ?
Thank's !

I don't play Pinhead, not my kind of Killer, but most people (myself included) think he's in a weak spot. Due to his high kill rate tho, I'm suspecting another nerf soon

If you can get a nemesis teachable perk Lethal Pursuer, it will show you the survivors auras at the beginning of the match. Knowing their locations and your own, you can predict where the box spawns by triangulating the first heat point from both yourself and all the survivors. If you predict well, you can get a chain Hunt right away and start snowballing immediately.

One thing to take into consideration: each killer starts with their own MMR. Its not perfect (what about MMR is), but I feel it at work myself. Whenever I play a new killer I stomp many many games, till eventually my MMR with that killer is hight enough that I face the stronger, competent survivors, and then its back to sweating.
Pinhead is fun and I like him, but I really hate his main power. You stop completely while using it, and if you miss your skill shot, the survivor can easily get away as far as they want. If you hit them, then you barely shave of 0.5s of the chase. Sometimes that's enough, but often enough you wonder what you just wasted your time on. There is this technique of spawning the chain just a little bit in front of the survivor and then hit them instantly as they run through it, but besides this, its really lackluster.
It is very good as a scouting tool, though, especially in indoor maps. On Midwich you can often pressure survivors off gens that you can't actually reach in time, but I consider this more of a niche usage of his power.

PinHead has the highest overall kill rate in the game at nearly 60 percent. So I don't think anyone can honestly call him weak. I would say though that I haven't seen him used in a competitive setting. And I doubt that he'd do well competitively. But comp is comp and pubs are pubs. In pubs he's strong in comp he's weak (I think). So take that for what you will.

He isn't terribly weak, but certainly a bit disappointing considering how strong he was before the addon nerfs. The stats they showed are pretty much meaningless because they included new players. That's why Nurse is last and Pinhead is probably just first, because his box may be the most broken thing for new players. I would like to see high mmr stats.

Pinhead is like Pig with less RNG. He stomps survivors who don't know how his power works, and is stomped by survivors who do know how to properly play around the Lament Configuration. Problem is, Pinhead is very uncommon and solo queue is solo queue, so he dominates newer/less experienced players and as such statistically appears extremely powerful.
Much like with Pig and her Ambush, I suspect that you could remove the Possessed Chain ability from his kit entirely, and his overall kill rate wouldn't even drop by all that much. Both the chain and ambush are weak, but these killers are carried against bad survivors because of their passive slowdown abilities.

I play a lot of Cenobite, and am fairly good with him I think.
Your stats sound...iffy. Keep in mind that MMR has been totally borked and that Cenobite is the ultimate noobstomper.
I've found that he's very good against uncoordinated or less experienced groups, but people that know what they are doing run rings around him to the extent he may not even have a power and certain maps are awful for him.
EDIT: Your build sounds solid, I'd drop Thana for Agitation unless you are running Fang.
His box is the problem aspect, and should probably be what was changed. His anti-loop is weak and inconsistent and the nerfs to his addons hit him where he was fun.
