It is very heavily mindgame-based. You have to make and fake mindgame reads. If you think the Blight will go for bump logic, position yourself in ways that make it difficult to get a good path towards you. If you think they'll hug around the loop, peel off. Etcetera. It's all about adapting on the fly to how the other side plays, and they have to do the same for you. Make sharp turns, stay just out of range of their swings, be unpredictable, cut off lines of sight and good ricochet trajectories, etc.

Turn your dpi all the way up and spin around like a tornado.

Don't hesitate to throw pallets, it's the only thing that works reliably against a very good blight. If your teammates do gens, then there should be enough pallets on most maps.

If you play against mediocre Blights, you can play a lil bit like against a Nurse, make sudden direction changes, or try and glitch his first bump (he can't hit you before his first bump), if you run away keep in mind his "lunge" is huge, he walks like 3 metres before he hits so make sure you have enough distance if you run around a car or something like that.

You don't. You burn pallets and pray your team gen-rushes before he snowballs. So if you play solo queue, you will lose vs. a good Blight most of the time since solos are often allergic to gens and go for unhooks instead.

try and move unpredictably, if he's staying at the other end of say, a car loop, move to a different part of the loop or a new one altogether because he's probably trying to hug-tech, that's all i got.

    • Don't loop any pallets, pre-drop when he is close. I know some Blight player's personally ridicule me for this... but they do so because it's the best tactic. If you loop you're giving them a pretty easy hit. So it is how it is.
    • When a Blight goes for a hug tech, try immediately running around the other object of the loop.
    • If the Blight is good at flicking around corners of a loop, stop hugging the loop for a split second when the blight is flicking and run to where the blight came from (you should be running right past them).
    • If it's a really good blight that baits DH's, run directly at him when injured and when he's in a rush. Then DH the next time he goes for the hit. Blight's have many rushes so like to use 1 rush to bait out a potential DH sometimes.
