mmr and matchmaking
This is for developers. I have low mmr. Why, when I play as a killer, do they give me swf, with a high mmr? Why do I get a high mmr killer when playing as a survivor? What is interesting about a game that cannot be won? Fix it.

Because it doesn't work.

Then I regret that I thanked the developer with money. I am forced to delete a game that cannot be enjoyed on either side....

That's a weird way to thank someone. But on a serious note most people dislike mmr

zumer show me some of these high MMR survivors that you're going against. Today I had 2 games, the first game I had a survivor with 8k hours, the very next game a player with 5k hours. Am I high MMR, I honestly don't know, but do your survivors have even close to that many hours in the game?

They said on the Q&A that their matchmaking system gets thrown out the window when queue times go beyond a certain point.
The only solutions are to significantly decrease the survivor player base, increase the killer player base, get yourself better at killer where SWFs won't matter, or get yourself better at survivor where Grade 1 killers won't matter. Crappy solutions, I know.

That would be implying MMR works or something crazy like that

I feel the same I've been getting stomped lately and then get a match of baby's and I've been feeling bad and letting 2-4 go alot then back to the greats survivors.
My survivors matches seems a little closer for me but my teammates are almost always in over there heads.

Sadly, MMR doesn't work.

The MMR does "work" in its intended way. Currently it priotizes shorter queues over "skill". Survivors currently face queues of 10-15 minutes.
So the longer survivors wait, the higher the chance, that they are matched against a killer out of their mmr range.

This video sums up my personal experience with MMR well

I think mm is just a label put on it, but really its just whoever has been in queue longest gets next match. Nothing to do with level or rank. Sometimes it works for you, most of the time it does not. Everywhere you look on this forum people have the same issue

There are some bugs in the matchmaking. E.g. the devs mentioned that if a killer leaves the lobby the system quickly wants to find a new killer and is not really taking MMR into consideration. Maybe it happened to you.

It's decently consistent when I play Survivor.
Me and my two other friends have over 3K hours each. We normally get sub-200 hour teammates and a totally random selection of Killers. Sometimes it's a popular Killer streamer, sometimes it's a Doctor with 1 perk.

This happens to me all the time. Very rarely, when the match goes on an equal footing. I don't suffer from lookup time. All matches are found very quickly. Therefore, I believe that there is no selection system at all. You join the first lobby if there is still room.

Im on a really bad run on survivor lately. The last two days most of my trials are all the same. Horrible teammates that do dumb #########. A game that sticks out (lol my last one my memory not great) Jeff alerts Oni right from the start a by jumping in a locker. Then only last 15-20 seconds filling most of his power. I hop on a gen with another Zarina and meanwhile Dwight is crouched next to us doing nothing.
Oni had like 5 to 6 hooks at 4 gens...entire time thinking we had no chance. Then it was my turn to be chased. I gave him a good run and when he got me one gen pops, he picks me up and a 2nd pops, hooks me a 3rd pops and just like that 1 gen remaining. I have said b4 only takes 1 bad chase for killer to lose a game. He ends up chasing again long enough for last gen to pop and downing me in endgame. After im hooked somehow that damn dwight is down seconds later....meanwhile zarina is heading to me.
He downs Zarina after she unhooks me so I bolt for Dwight....I get there and he has 0 recovery. Losing that distance allowed me to fall short of the gate. I really ######### hate that Dwight.

It's already done, you have faster que times at the cost of balanced game.
