What's the reason killers can only hook from the front while survivors can unhook from any direction

What's the reasoning behind giving survivors the ability to unhook from any direction while only allowing killers to hook from the front?

As far as i remember, when they added the rotating hook, they reasoned that it'd look weird if the hook turned to that direction by itself.

The omnidirectional-unhook is specifically to prevent killer from bodyblocking the only possible unhook direction.

I understand that part im asking why killer don't get the omnidirectional hook
