Update disconnection issues for PS4 player

So recently I downloaded the recent update on my base PS4 slim and have encountered immense lag and disconnect issues in group chat and within the game as both survivor and killer. I would think it's our router but my roommate playing on PS5 and fellow friends have no issue. It is also a wired connection. I am just wondering if anyone is having a similar problem.

Today especially when I was playing against boil over trolls and then the game freezes and they message me wondering why I disconnect which I didn't even realize was on my end.

    i had the same issue but upon further inspection it was actually my wifi connection causing the disconnect i restarted everything and haven't had an issue since hope your issue clears up fast
