If I had a perk where I could select a bot instead of a real person for a teammate...
I WOULD in a heartbeat.
No amount of MMR, no amount of "comms" will ever fix the actions (and sometimes lack there of) that some people still to this day do.
Work on gens? Nope, let's heal 100% of the time so that the 3 seconds we last in a chase amount to something.
Trade or Save a hooked teammate? Nope, let's just crouch behind and watch the killer hover back and forth at the hook, instead of being efficient.
At this point they should take the AI from Nemesis' zombies and just spawn a bot that at the very least will block the killer. They would at least be more useful.

100% would choose bots over randoms with the current MMR. Just program the bots to not hide for the match or sandbag the teammates and they'll already be way better than randoms.

I just wish they would match you with teammates who play similar, I've quit playing solo because everytime they waste half the match on healing because of COH, I don't care what anyone says COH is trash and it's just a game staller, adrenaline and resilience with genrushing will always be stronger than COH.

MMR has nothing to do with it it's laughable you actually believe it exists, they clearly are just throwing people wherever they get a match, I could literally 4k a good squad and turn around and get noobs the next match who can't do anything right

I think SWF should be able to fill the leftover slot(s) in their lobbies with bots. Then, if a player dies before the bot, they can take over the bot. It would be a great way to help solos avoid getting farmed by SWF, it would allow someone in a SWF who dies the chance to continue playing, and goddamn I would rather have bots as teammates because I am so tired of being put in lobbies with players who never touch gens.

Oh gods no.
Imagine going against SWF with 4 second chance perks, who put 4 second chance perks on the bot, and use voice comms. And then I knock one out of the game, and they take over the bot, which has the same perks they had, and now has the same SKILL as the person I removed, while still being on voice comms.
The 150 Killers left would quit en-masse once they realized SWFs were using 1-2 bot-slots for extra lives.

Anyway, it's a pipe dream. It'll never happen. I just hate that I play in a pair with one other person, and we always get the worst teammates. If he dies I usually go up to the killer and suicide because I want to play DbD with him. The "with him" is the important part. It'd be nice if I didn't have to do that just to continue playing the game with the person I want to play the game with.

Hey, the game description on Steam says "Survive Together… Or Not - Survivors can either cooperate with the others or be selfish." That's copy and pasted from the page. If you don't like it, tell BHVR.
But no, actually, I'm not throwing the match; once my friend is dead, that's it, there's no one else but me who's willing to do gens and take aggro. After I've run the killer around and the match doesn't progress because my teammates won't touch gens? Yes, I'm leaving. That's why I want bots, because my teammates never touch gens. So, so many of my matches consist of teammates who crouch around the edges of the map. I've had matches where I don't suicide that have continued on for 30+ minutes because no one touches gens and the killer can't find them but can't catch me. That's not fun. That's boring as hell.

That makes a lot of sense, maybe in the first 2 mins a bot replaces them. Or if killer dc then they are replaced by a bot killer with a basic loadout. Im a killer by the way

I really don't care if it feeds you more Pops, or BBQ stacks. Anything a bot does is probably better on average than just straight up losing 25% of the team.
