Killers have to work for no way out and remember me, they should also work for noed
No way out and remember me all require the killer to DO something to get stacks to use the perks in the end game. NOED only requires that you wait until the end game to activate. Can anyone actually explain to me why noed shouldn’t be structured in the same way? And please don’t give me any of that what aboutism about dead hard, I know it’s bs as well

Why should you have to work for everything?
3 -
Why should it be? NWO and BW can't be countered, they activate and that's it. NOED can be countered before and after it activates
8 -
Except they don't.
Remember Me yes, but you don't have to work for No Way Out to activate. That perk's only requirement is that someone touch an exit gate after it's powered, and you get extra time for each stack that you have.
Additionally, the reason you don't have to work to make NOED activate is because it can be both prevented from ever activating and turned off after it does activate. It's a hex, and it's only active in a small window of time at the end of the match, adding hard requirements onto it like Remember Me would only make it even worse than it currently is.

Did you made account just after you got rekt by Noed Bubba?
My condolences
3 -
Because skill should be rewarded
1 -
Because it's a hex. Are you suggesting to no longer have it as a removable hex, so that it is always guaranteed to go off and always guaranteed to last a certain amount of time?
Also why shouldn't the survivors have to work toward removing NOED?
4 -
Ok, that’s not what my argument was. Im saying that NWO BW and remember me all require the killer to do something to earn them. Noed doesn’t, and has much more powerful effects when active than either of the other perks mentioned. The killer doesn’t have to do anything to get noed to activate but hope survivors don’t cleanse.

I'd gladly give up NOED if they nerfed deadhard. I personally think that NOED is a noobstomper so I don't even use it. I never see it in high mmr as surv and I don't need it as killer.

if you play solo, bring a map with the crystal bead + detective's hunch. easiest counter to noed in your life and killer will get salty in the end :)

Hex: Ruin doesn't require the Killer to do anything, Hex: Haunted Ground doesn't require the Killer to do anything, Hex: Undying doesn't require the Killer to do anything, Hex: The Third Seal doesn't require the Killer to do anything besides hitting Survivors, which is not a requirement. NOED doesn't require the Killer to do anything like other Hexes, I don't see what's wrong with it other than being 'unfun' which is a useless metric for balance
4 -
Because it is a Hex.
6 -
Exactly. In the average public game, noed is nothing more than an insurance policy during the end game. Typically not worth the slot because it gets cleansed more often than not anyway. Also, you are not allowed to mention nerfing perks that carry survivors in return. The pitch forks will come out lol.
3 -
No.
Here's the deal. Perks like NOED, Fire Up, Coup De Grace, and Spirit Fury that turn on when you're struggling are NOT a bad thing. If one prefers trials that are longer, less snowbally, and more of a back and forth... perks that help slow down or stop a snowball is exactly what you want.
Does anybody like one sided stomps anyway? I know I don't. I am GLAD that perks like those exist... even if NOED can be annoying with the way it comes out of nowhere and can wreck you.
1 -
Yes please. But then, don't make it a Hex.
All of them don't give value without the killer doing good in chase in the first place. NOED allows killers that don't do well in chase to snowball. That's the only annoying aspect of NOED. Even Otzdarva ask that the totem functions with tokens... which would be an overnerf in my opinion.

NOED is not a Perk that the Killer gets as a reward for doing something, its a Perk that punishes Survivors for not doing something.
and that design philosophy is fine, there is no need to change it.
5 -
It's just a hex bro. Do bones.
5 -
They are at endgame, their sacrifice was pressure, NOED becomes the new pressure. They didnt work for it, but the survivors sure did!

You techically do you have to work for noed and thats keeping players off totems and letting them do gens. The thing is in order to cleanse an entire map takes time too often if and when people realize noed is in play they only have themselves to blame for not touching totems. You can usually tell when a killer is playing with noed in play and its best to just start totem hunting
1 -
in addition to what everyone else is saying, you also "earn" NoED by playing the vast majority of the match 1 perk down.
2 -
So survivors don't have to do work? The totems are there just to look pretty? Give me a break, Noed can be broken BEFORE it can even be used. Cry me a river.
2 -
You do have to work for it. You earn it by playing the rest of the game with only 3 perks.
0 -
Agreed. Survivors only need to use 2 of their combined 16 perks to stop NoED. With Small Game and Counter Force it is perfectly reasonable to have every un-booned totem broken.
1 -
NOED only requires that you wait until the end game to activate
No; NoED requires Survivors to be lazy and not do bones.
Funny how Survivor's 5000000 second-chance perks either require 0 Survivor input, or need Killer input, but the ONE useful Killer perk Survivors can turn off is somehow OP, unfun, toxic, or whatever other bullshit Survivors invent tomorrow to call it.
Almost as if Survivors are lazy whiners who want NoED deleted because they don't want to leave gens. 🤔

Do you know this forum is full of campers, tunnelers and noed killers, don’t you??

NOED is the skillful No Way Out.
2 -
It's this feeling that if you are doing well for so long or for most of the game, a sudden comeback is "robbing you" of your "rightful win." It's this entitled view that you are owed a win because you had been doing well, and if it suddenly turns around, then your win was stolen when you deserved it. In this game that seems to happen most often when people die post-gate being powered. I feel a lot of survivors think the game ends when the gens are all done and all the time after that is fun play time until they want to leave.
2 -
Skill? In DBD? That is a pretty low ceiling. Game gets pretty repetitive after awhile. I mean, with so much RNG involved and passive pressure from the new killers, what skill is there?
1 -
Hex Perks just function differently from standard perks like No Way Out and Remember Me. The whole point of Hex perks is they provide a powerful effect of some sort and the survivors have to get rid of it themselves if they want it gone. NOED, like other hex perks, is also a perk that becomes easier to counter the more you play the game and start to learn where totems spawn.
2 -
2022 and people still complain to a hex perk, wow.
3 -
Okay, then survivors must earn their DS, they can't just be hooked and get it for free anymore.
2 -
Every other hex provides a notification and is active on one totem instantly.
NOED activates only once the down occurs which puts survivors on a hook timer to try and find it, open a gate and inevitabily team up to try and save a face camped survivor.... although at this stage yes its just 1 hex totem to find, the fact it activates on end game and once the survivor is down (not when the totem activates) makes it hard to counter for most players in solo!- unless youre lucky and find it almost instantly.
The ask to get 5 totems done prior to end game is also out of proportion on balance to every other hex which has 1 totem showing from the start.

Killers have to gamble on survivor laziness with noed, it's not earned or given by the design.
1 -
Completely agree. This is the logical thing to do.
