Main reason I play Blight which is the opposite reason everyone plays him
I love the book "The Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" so once I saw the Blight Teaser I knew we were gonna get a killer based on the book. I even paid the 10 bucks for the top hat outfit to feel like Mr Hyde. I also just put perks I feel like describe Mr Hyde.
Perks I use are No way out, All Ears, Nurses Calling, Eruption, Tinker, BBQ, Hex Plaything, both Scourge hooks perks, and a lot of other perks but never the Meta Build. I find the Meta build boring since it's just the same build with the same effects.
I was sad that Blight was awful to play at launch with low camera and bad controller usage for PC. Though now I am so happy to play Blight aka Mr Hyde now. My favorite addons have to be the summoning stone, Iri chemical addon, and Vigo's Journal.
Funny enough Mr Hyde was one of the few killers I would love to see ingame. Others would have been Slenderman, Springtrap, and a Jack the Ripper/Sherlock Holmes chapter. Overall been having a blast playing controller Blight on PC without hardly issues......well other than still hard to learn him.

Out of those perks, NWO, BBQ, Tinker and PR scourge is pretty meta, nurses calling/eruption/plaything is not meta but pretty strong, I think all ears is pretty much off-meta.
Well not gonna dismiss anything you said though.

No, Lot of other play him because he is the "Meta" and uses a generic build that makes gens almost impossible to pop with no other build.
He is quick, can get to gens before they pop, can use perks like Tinker, Undying, Ruin, to make gens impossible to pop because of how fast Blight can get to it so it can regress back to 0. Blight has a strong basekit so why just use perks to make it overkill and not some fun perks.
It can be meta depending on the build, I just use perks that would fit a Mr Hyde build but also which would be fun to use and not only focus on Gens. I use Tinker sometimes because it sorta fits well with the whole "Scientist" gimic. Also Infectious fright is also pretty fun perk.
A fun build I like to run is "No where to Hyde" with mostly Aura or location perks and only 1 gen perk.

I'd say meta perks are still meta perks because they are strong enough as is, not gonna be a meta build though.

Ah ok, gotcha.
I like to have least 1 meta perk if I know build is not gonna be actually good but having like 4 meta perks is sorta overkill sorta like having to much of a good thing.

He has more than 1 meta build. He actually has several really fun builds but everyone has undying,tinkerer,tinkered, stuck in their heads as the only way to play him.

Sadly true, Powerful and fun killer but everyone uses the same build and never uses other perks/addons.
Tbh would be funny if people just lose to Blight because the survivors thought the Blight was using the generic build just to find out it's a different build.
