Ace hiding keys at the campfire
Please change Ace stance at the campfire, he is almost hiding items behind his back.
Especially keys are very hard to see.

One would think he's designed that way on purpose, he is who he is after all.

Anyway… that ain't "balanced".

I personally think killers shouldn't be able to see what items survivors are carrying in the lobby, so it's fine.1

It was always intended that the killer can prepare himself for what the survivor are bringing into the match by stalking them at the campfire.
It's part of the gamebalance.
Why should a killer equip Lightborn, when no one brings a torch?
Why should a killer use FD, if no one brings an item?2 -

That way larger characters don't cover up smaller characters that end up slightly behind them in the lobby.

Yeah, even a broken clock is correct twice a day. Killers are supposed to see items in the lobby for obvious reasons.
I do think that survivors should be able to see who their killer is though. Their gamertag/id I mean. Why should killers be able to pick and choose who they face/dodge? That, or keep all tags/id's secret until the end of the game for everyone? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not talking about balance, i'm just saying what i think.
Sure, it's intended, but i still think killers shouldnt be able to see the items, just like in WN2.
Btw, I never had to use lightborn and i think i won't need it since there are other ways to counter flashlights. I rather use that perk slot for something else.1 -

I agree, if killer can check survivors id so should the survivors.1 -

I agree, if killer can check survivors id so should the survivors.Still wrong.
Again, it is an integral core design that the killer knows more and the survivor are meant to be surprised by the killer.
If survivor could just equip Small game when they KNOW they face a trapper, it would totally break the balance.
(Same for Calm Spirit/Doctor, Flashlights/Urban Evasion/Hag,etc.)2 -

We are talking about gametags/id. Not being able to know who is the killer.
Maybe YOU did, but the rest of the thread is about ingame equipment.
Please stay on topic and don't bring up you wishes about blocking any killer player that killed you.0 -
I originally made a joke, and from what you said it sounded as though you can still see what he's holding you just have to look a bit harder. Obviously though of course you should be able to see what items and Survivors you're facing, knowing you're going up against 4 tool boxes may change a perk of yours to Franklin's for instance (probably not though but still), but in general it at least allows you to know whether the enemy team is about to Gen Rush you hardcore or not sorta thing.

I've always though game id/tags should be hidden till post game for both sides since that'd prevent the dodging but also make it more suspenseful. I wonder if this would also prevent the whole MLGA abuse by the small amount on both sides

Id/tag visibility have been taken away from survivor, because they abused it.
Deal with it.
This is about ingame mechanics.0 -

I personally think killers shouldn't be able to see what items survivors are carrying in the lobby, so it's fine.I have to disagree there: as survivor, you can do very well without any items and even without perks, if you're good. As a killer, unless you're using Nurse, you have to select your perks, addons, offerings very carefully, meaning that counter perks like Hangman's, Franklin's or Lightborn are too risky to equip if you can't see survivor's items. Not seeing items could potentially make these perks a wasted slot. I say it even though the single killer perk I hate the most when playing survivor is Franklin's.
I'm killer biased, so take it with a grain of... oh nvm. Anyway, that's how I see it.1 -

That's what i like, the mistery. Survivors have to take their chances when using especific perks, like calm spirit, that's why i think it should be the same for killers, just like in White Noise 2.
I can personally do that anyway, usually i select my perks first and ready up as soon as i get into the lobby.1
