So I just read about Call of Dutys new anticheat and DBD could totally do it
In case your not aware its called the ricochet system i think and its a system that detects if your using a cheat and then makes it impossible to kill anyone or do any objectives. They are not banning players just keeping the flag on your account and it seems like a good idea to think about for dbd. We have all seen the rampant amount of cheater posts and maybe so behavior ddesnt have a team soo dedicated to blocking cheaters they could implement a system like so if you cheat you can no longer ruin others games maybe it will just turn off all bp gains and you can no longer interact with any objects in the map. I just personally think that out right banning players while smart just doesnt end up fixing anything guys go check it out on youtube and maybe come up with a better idea for dbd because you guys have got to be exhausted from trying to contain it. Heres the link to what they are doing in CoD https://www.pcgamer.com/call-of-duty-warzone-is-nerfing-cheaters-guns-so-they-cant-kill-anybody/

If DBD could reliably detect cheats to begin with, then cheaters would get automatically banned. While a nice idea in theory, DBD does not manage to detect cheats that bypass EAC.

I mean they could do something like this but the question is this. Why would they invest resources (Money) into something like this when they can just stick with a company who is suppose to have a functional anti cheat but doesn't.
As much as I have advocated for Behavior making their own Anti cheat they just won't do it. Now what they could do. Is contact Activision and attempt to buy this anticheat or atleast reserve the right to use it. But this would mean Activision would have to consistently update it to keep up to date with DBD and lets be honest Activision doesn't have the time to do that.
Conclusion it's a great idea but it won't happen EAC isn't going anywhere anytime soon nor do I even suspect a Anticheat is even being produced at Behavior because if it was they wouldn't even be bothering doing updates in their background to deter cheating they would just be waiting on the system to be finalized. Also I might add the updates they did do was confirmed by hackers to only work for 18 hours which you can find in a Choy video talking to them. The issue is like Patrick said it's a race against Behavior and Cheaters but due to the game not being updated consistently Cheaters find flaws and make software in 18 hours to beat out EAC.

And there were alreaedy a bunch of news that this system gets outdone by cheaters regularly.

Except the biggest problem with DBD cheaters is that they can make the game go on and on until you quit
Preventing them from making progress isn't a hindrance

i wish they'd use multiple forms of cheat detection. EAC as a big bubble around which gets constantly updated to detend and ban new bypasses and hacks and then a server-sided detection which sets, say, maximum values for action speed (ie. 4 BNPs for a 20 second gen) which can only be met a certain amount of time with a certain amount of inputs from all players before it starts to nuke people from within the match itself. Like you can only really move at 257% in a game once for a maximum of 2.5 seconds- get hit through a pallet while smash hit activates and then adrenaline and hope proc- so the detector would see you moving at 257% speed for say 3 seconds and then flag you so if you ever did it again, or you went above this cap, your game would be nuked and youd get like a week long temp ban which would then escalate to a perma ban if it happened too often or something idk.
Just something extra please.

I just wanted to show you guys that they need to think outside the bubble a bit to get cheaters to rethink their actions as a temp ban takes resources and time and its gotta be exhausting. Look i never said cod idea is the endall permanant solution its just an idea that they could maybe playtest.

That would be a terrible way to handle cheaters.
If a survivor is cheating and can't do anything, it becomes a 3v1 and the game is essentially lost from the start unless the killer is playing their first game ever.
If the killer is cheating, the survivors just get to hold m1 and do nothing for a few minutes and then leave.
Even aside from this, if they were capable of detecting people cheating at all, why not just ban instead of letting them come in and ruin games with inability to play?
