3 days until this game dies. A game will be coming out and will suck the SOULS out of the playerbase. This game is considered a DARK game. But it’s not the same franchise? But it’s so good the most popular dbd players will leave. Get ready everyone.

lol ok

This reminds me of back when WoW was at its peak. Every day I would see multiple threads about how this or that mmo was totally going to take the players and kill wow.
It's still going.
Same for dbd. Every time a new horror game or asymmetric pvp game comes out we are assured it's the end for dbd. I can't even remember the names of those games, as they didn't stick around.

dbd will not die, it can be small for specific duration though.

I know the game will not die but the most popular dbd people. Otz, Tru3 and Scott Jund are leaving dbd to play Elden Ring. When 3 of the most popular dbd YouTubers are leaving you know it’s bad when they leave.
1 -
They were all souls youtubers before DBD though, so why wouldn't they play it for a while?
4 -
I mean, singleplayer games doesn't last long, it's not like they are leaving for eternity?
0 -
Scott and Otz were leaving for Elden Ring regardless of how fun DBD is lol, they're die hard Souls fans.
4 -
Do people actually think some new popular game is going to kill DBD when previous new popular games have never ever came even close to doing so?
0 -
If anything it's really funny that DBD has much more stopping power than most triple A-games
Look at the new Battlefield game for example
3 -
dbd will not die for a very very long time. It's at it's peak for all Februaries the game has been out.
1 -
As much as I am hyped up for Elden Ring, it won’t kill DBD. It may indeed take some of the player base (myself included) but not that many. DBD is very casual, souls games are not at all, so I don’t see the crossover, for the most part.

WoW killed my SWG, get that crap outta here!
1 -
Swg killed swg. The Old Republic is light-years Better
2 -
Well...if I get to own the game when it dies, then I am fine with that.
1 -
Meh, I couldnt get into Old Republic. Was too into how player driven SWG was.

Me, having never played a souls game, having no interest in elden ring, and having no money to buy it:

Are they really "leaving" or are they just going to add some variety to their streams? Leaving would imply all of them will stop playing DbD entirely, which I doubt would be the case, simply because they know the content their viewers are there to see.
1 -
I'm sure the game will survive if they really are leaving.

Old republic is my favorite mmo, primarily for the storyline each character (especially sith inquisitor and bounty hunter) had.

This new game will definitely take some players away from DBD, also funny how they do a bloodrush(again) right after it is released. Someone is scared at bhvr and instead of fix the game they are like "come get your extra points" smh
3 -
Same thing happened with VHS beta. Around the same time too.
2 -
As well as right before Artist released.
And this is literally the week before Sadako releases
4 -
Everybody said swtor would kill wow too. Elden ring is a different nitch and it will be popular for a while until it gets figured out and players will slowly go back to their other games. I was never a souls fan as i found the games way too punishing at times but thats what most people love
2 -
Souls games are different from these types of games, are you ok? Yes I will be playing also, but this was a really stupid post lol. Forgive the rudeness but my goodness....
3 -
Otz and Tru will probably mix it up, Scott Jund may well not play any DBD for a while. He said as much, we'll see. If any of their viewer counts take a big enough hit, they'll revert pretty quickly, I'd think.

Similar to how valo killed cs right?

It wont die, I will be playing both

Damn i still have to play sekiro.
Sitting in my pile of shame for ages.
But at the same time it was the last game i played with my late best friend before they died, so i am still hesitating and excited for it at the same time.

It will be nice to play it while waiting for Sadako to actually release.

It will not die. But I guess the queue times for Killers will be longer, since Survivors are more inclined to drop DBD for some time to play different games. Mostly because of SWF, if two players of a SWF usually play together and one of them is playing a different game, the other one will probably not play Solo-Hell.
Big content creators leaving will also not really change anything. And honestly, DBD could be at its best state ever with everyone happy with the game and players would drop during Elden Rings Release.

Rip my dude. Hope he/she is in peace.
Sekiro is great game, i already finished 3 times. But Dark Souls 3 is still my fav, best souls game.

Thanks, that was 2 years ago. I managed to make him speechless by managing everything until the second boss without dying ones. We hade a good time.
Yeah DS3 is also my favorite until now. The only one I haven't played was demons souls.

Not everyone likes RPG games but true, the future of DBD is worrisome.

I think Mandy or someone mentioned they have these bloodrush events planned months in advance. But I still think it's odd they come around when new games and betas release.
