Does your MMR stay the same even after a month?

Yes assuming you're win loss ratio remains the same per month. but if you win more games then no as it increases but if you lose more then no it goes down.

So what exactly happens when no one plays for like 3 or 4 months? Are they welcomed to a lower MMR or high MMR?

The way it's been explained is your MMR does not decrease atm by not playing but that is something they're working on.

And honestly, your MMR probably shouldn't change much even after being away a few months. I didn't play most of 2021 and when I started playing again it only took a few games to get back into the swing of things.

Your MMR stays stagnant currently. But everyone else’s presumably increases.
