To Play and Save BP, or Not... That is the question.
On one hand, The Ringu/Sadako chapter seems like a lot of fun, and I really want to save up regular match, Archive, and Ritual BP for her. On the Other hand, as of the PTB, Sadako is not a killer worth all that time and effort over the next 1+ weeks before her release. I really want to, but the devs have proved time and time again, that they barely listen to PTB feedback, so, the Question is... Do I play and save up for her? Or do I forget it and ignore the game until they "fix" her?
My own suggestions for fixing her are as follows:
- No movement speed Slowdown when Manifesting (She doesn't get a speed boost or damage amplification from it, she can't move through objects, is partially visible while in "stealth", can still be stunned/blinded, and moves at the avg killer movement speed, so why is it even a thing?)
- 2 Stacks of Condemnation per TV teleport on nearby survivors... Either that or increase the range at which a survivor gains a stack of condemnation from 16m to 24m from a TV she teleports to. Honestly, with how piss poor and slow the overall Condemnation mechanic is at the moment, there's literally no reason any survivor would even WANT to interact with a TV and retrieve a Videotape in the first place. Giving her either of these advantages increases the likelihood of survivors gaining stacks of condemnation against her, which in turn makes them want to interact with the TV's to get a video tape, and take all risks involved, in order to cleanse themselves of it.
- Drastically shorten and invert the timings of the TV deactivation times. Currently if Sadako Teleports to a TV it's deactivated for 100 seconds, and if a survivor retrieves a tape or turns a TV off while having a tape, its deactivated for only 60 seconds... anything about that feel wrong to you? Why is it that the killer using her power is more punishing to her than when a survivor interacts with it? Also the length of the punishment is staggeringly long. If I were in charge of changing this, I'd say let survivors keep the 60 second deactivation time, but when Sadako Teleports to a TV, have it at 40 seconds, or I'd even be fine with the 40 second deactivation time from Sadako, but an 80 seconds from the survivors, because as the current mechanic works... Survivors risk gaining more stacks by deactivating other TV's, but honestly none of that makes sense if they aren't doing so for longer than the killer does. NO ONE IS GONNA RISK GETTING CLOSER TO INSTANT DEATH unless it buys them all more time to prevent her map pressure. If she's the only one buying them time, then there's no reason to interact with that side of her power in an effort to deny it, is there?
Sadly, I don't think the devs are listening/reading these posts, and probably won't do anything to better balance her before her live release, but I guess I have some modicum of hope that they will do at least the bare minimum to make her worth the effort. So I ask you guys, based on her current PTB and likely live release version, Should I play and prep my BP for her release, or should I wait 6 months-1 year for her to get enough updates to become "Decent" if not "valid in the upper ranks"?

Wait 6 months till she has gotten buffed/nerf and ignored afterwards.
It happened to Pinhead, PH, Legion and the Twins.
The release day is just early access for Consoloids and PC players.
