Slingers Chain.
I feel like once you hooked there is abs nothing you can do about it. You can't slide into objects or anything. I get he has a bit of time before he can shoot you but that really makes less of a diff when you have nothing to help you out against him IE caught in a dead zone because BHVR. I think that there should be a way the survivor can slide around just a little bit more than now to give them a small chance of breaking free from the chain.

It's because the devs never adjusted the fact that slinger moving backwards while reeling basically ignores all counterplay to the chain when they decided to they nerf positive aspect of his power.

Isn't the counterplay to Deathslinger to try and make it hard for him to hit you in the first place? Why should you expect to be able to easily break the chain?

Making it so Deathslinger walking backwards prevents survivors from even sliding around to attempt to get caught on things wouldn't make breaking out his chain easy in many situations. The whole chain mechanic existed, because Deathslinger unlike Huntress did not have a wind up and it would be unfair if Deathslinger could instant deal damage that way.
But the devs made it so survivors could react to his shot so now they can sidestep his very precision projectile while he can't really readjust his aim quickly due to the ADS destroying his sensitivity. I would have much preferred to lose the backwards walking tech than to lose quickscoping while also making his cancel ADS longer to make faking less effective.

Ok, so to clarify, you're saying you want Deathslinger to have instant ADS again but not be able to easily reel in survivors after a hit?

Well not being able to sway a lot while you're being dragged makes sense. Meanwhile having the ads for unscoping taking half a second doesnt.

So you think the only killer that has a 32 terror radius + 110% ms, slowed down by every every aspect of his kit (walking speed, animation, reel speed, and general chase loop), can be ran from early, held w on, has now a noticeable wind up and a spear that has a smaller hitbox needs even more counterplay.
Just let the man live.

I mean giving the chain a tiny bit more slack to at least make it feel like the survivor can do something after being chained would be nice.

You are reading too far into my post. Im asking for a little bit of control once chained. Once you are hooked theres absolutely nothing the survivor can do and it feels cheesy man thats all. He most likely will have the addon which makes it take much longer to break the chain anyway but you cannot move AT ALL once hooked.

You had control when you were able to dodge his chain. So you are saying in order for him to inflict a health state, you deserve counter play to:
Negate his line of sight
AND
Dodge his attack
AND
Get out of the chain, too?
How many double, triple, and quadruple chances do you need? For Christ's sake, the Huntress just lets go of M2 and you take damage! He cannot even down you with his gun!

I actually didn't know that (the first part of your comment)
I was always mega confused when I couldn't sway at all in the open sometimes, but when I played as deathslinger, survivors would just sway fine (I mean I tried to use his power more as anti loop, so obv survivors can sway more if they are breaking the chain with enviroment).
I... don't know if I'll use this tech as deathslinger, but atleast now I know why I couldn't sway into that tree and maybe break free from the chain.
As to the second part... idk. He's more skillful with how precise he needs to be as opposed to huntress and at the same time weaker...... which isn't even ironic, just sad. But I think rn you fire fewer shoots as deathslinger, but they're mostly a guaranteed hit/down. I personally wouldn't trade instant ads for breaking from the chain more easily, but that's my opinion.

killer in general is unplayable. I look back at this and say wth was I thinking. Survivors shouldn't GET ANYMORE changes in there favor. The game is already a mess with how it is now and to think that I want a killer change to sway in favor of survivors was not a good suggestion what so ever.
