Survivor Main decided to try Bubba for the first time today. Results as expected.
You have seen me around, rightfully pointing out how Bubba needs nerfs.
Yes I am a Survivor main, but that does not mean I am biased.
So today, I decided to try Bubba, to prove how easy and ridiculous his kit is. And as expected, the results were exactly what I guessed they would be.
This is someone who is completely new to Bubba. I have played about 4 matches with Bubba today, and only -1- person escaped. That's 15 kills, 1 escape across 4 matches. For a COMPLETELY NEW BUBBA player.
- I have never played Bubba before
- I AM A Survivor Main!!!
- I DONT PLAY KILLER AT ALL. Look at my ranking, Ash 3. I ranked up in 4 easy matches.
- LOOK AT MY PERKS. I only have 3. All level 1 yellow perks! I'm up against full purple, 4 perks. AND I STILL WRECKED THEM.
And the only person who escaped, was entirely my fault. I have no idea how long Decisive Strike lasts for, as I don't play Killer, this is not something I have memorized. So I waited a long time, and picked up a Survivor, but DS was still active and they got away from me. That's it. It would have been 16 kills otherwise.
During my playthrough with Bubba, I found myself talking out loud saying "what is this, this is bs" as I easily downed two FULL HEALTH survivors in the killer shack with a couple swings of my chainsaw. If there was too many windows nearby for a chainsaw, I just turned into an M1 killer and hit them twice and downed them anyway. But ooh boy, if I caught them ANYWHERE else, I didn't even bother with M1. Full health --> insta down with chainsaw. I caught myself being in complete disgust at how easy this was.
If you look at my post history, I bought DBD +Halloween DLC on the same day, to main Michael Myers, last year. I got so annoyed at how weak Myers was (new players dont have great addons for every game), plus the SWF nonsense, that I stopped playing Killer altogether. But now having played Bubba, this is hilarious. He is the easiest killer i ever tried. Getting 4k is a breeze. And should you ever want to camp, it's easy money. Nobody, and I mean, NOBODY is getting away from an unhook if you camp. Even if they have BT, then it becomes a trade, but someone is going up on that hook again. And slugging became VERY easy. Because of instadown chainsaw. And turning didn't help them. I am a completely new Bubba and even I could make him turn corners and knock them down.
In conclusion. Bubba needs a revamp. His kit is ridiculous. Nerf would not even be enough. Bubba needs wholesale changes because he is far and away too easy to use and oppress survivors for 4k. I WANT TO REPEAT - LOOK AT MY PERKS. I don't even have 4 perk slots. All my perks are level one. Survivors are full purple perks. And they never stood a chance. Against a SURVIVOR MAIN who -never- plays Killer. Not even for daily rituals.

I DON'T PLAY KILLER AT ALL.
So you're playing against survivors who have as much time in that role as you have as killer?
And it's fairly well known that killer is easily the more powerful role at beginner level so I don't see what you're trying to prove here, Bubba is OP at the lowest level of play?

You didn’t play against high or even mid mmr survivors. You will always stomp your opponent in your first game. It gets harder. Keep going

nice try on the deflection but there are 2 Gold ranked survivors, 1 silver ranked survivor, and 1 bronze survivor (with full purple perks) vs an ash killer who has about 1 hour of Killer experience in the past 5 months.
2 -
Always an excuse. I have about 1 hour of total playtime experience as a Killer in the past 5 months, son. Try again.
Two Gold ranked survivors, 1 silver survivor, and 1 bronze survivor. And the bronze survivor has full purple perks so he's no bronzie.
3 -
Not an excuse bro.
That was me with my first match as bubba. They were low mmr. Ik this because I’m low mmr. First match is always easy. Demos matches were easy at first. Then they get hard. Like I said keep playing with him. Windows hurt him
13 -
The screenshot in OP is not my first match. You didn't read.
and LOL at your screenshot. Green perks wrecking full purple perks, 1 of them Iri ranked. You're just proving my point.

Of course it gets harder, but skill will always trump balance. The more he plays and the higher his MMR becomes the better the survivors will become, but they're beating him because they're better survivors than he is a Bubba.
His point is still valid. Bubba is way to easy to play for how lethal he is. Now because Bubba is a simple killer he can't really compete at a competitive level. But that's well above the skill level of high MMR. At high MMR a skilled player playing Bubba will still dominate. Bubba can always guarantee 2 kills even at competitive. Not an average of 2 kills, a minimum of 2 kills.

Lol

So you don't run DS?
Survivor mistakes....
Perks don't mean much for you but it's what you faced... If you are new to playing a certain Killer
So you Camped and Tunneled... cause that's what the "meta" is right now... If you want to get a kill
Not really all Survivors had Purple perks... In the End game pic you showed... A Survivor had three yellow perks and another one had one green level perk
I'm by no means arguing for Bubba to stay the same... But coming here and saying that "I'm new at playing this Killer, look at my perks... and I got 15 Kills should've been 16 but I mistimed DS" doesn't sit well with me
How do you play against a Bubba? and did those Survivors play against you in the same way?
15 -
I beat them because they were low mmr and I have experience with demo, pyramid head and pinhead. I played 5 games with pinhead an dominated because they were not solving the box. Bubba doesn’t need a nerf. His camping does need some changes but a nerf? Nah he’s easy to play and against good survivors he gets stomped. He’s like a b tier killer
11 -
It's simple. Survivors have to stay near windows to avoid the chainsaw. When they do this, I turn into an M1 killer and mindgame and chase. I eventually catch them as they abuse the window too much and need to move to another playground. And that is when chainsaw comes in and it's over. Bubba is ridiculously easy to play and is way too strong. I already knew this, but actually playing Bubba, I was in disgust at how easy 4K's come. Don't even THINK of running to me and trying to take an hit for an injured survivor, because that puts YOU in my chainsaw crosshair... full health to dying in 1 hit.
THINK ABOUT IT. Ghostface can 1 hit but only AFTER he stalks you completely. Myers can 1 hit, but again, he needs to stalk to charge up T3, and it does run out and he has to do it over again.
WHY DOES BUBBA GET AN INSTADOWN with no stalking or prerequisite????

The gist of this thread: survivor main bases balance of a killer via low mmr matches
More at 11
On a serious note you can't be serious heck you could've used any non m1 killer and got the same results because you're going against the equivalent of chickens with their heads cut off lmao

I'm an Iri 1 survivor, son. He is not balanced in top tier either.

Your medal color doesn't mean anything now also your survivor mmr doesn't transfer to the killer side
And this is coming from someone who has had mmr screw them over by the game expecting me and my friend to carry two newbies multiple times against eri killers with decent to high mmr and you don't see me complaining about the killers stomping us because it was basically a 2 and a half vs 1 scenario no I complain about the mmr giving the two newbies a awful impression while expecting us to carry them lol

Face camp with this build and I'm sure you'll do even better:
NOED / No Way Out / Corrupt Intervention / Deadlock
You can switch things around to include Bloodwarden too if you want.
There's a reason he has one of the very highest kill rates and it's because he can guarantee kills as well as force people to gen rush into an unavoidable NOED end game build situation. This can be effective even at higher ranks he really does need a rework of some kind. The sole reason I don't want to play the game anymore is the fact that if you want to guarantee kills easily you just play as him and make it miserable for everyone.
I don't usually complain about killers but he's a bad offender. Oh and Nurse but it's not really fair to talk about her. She's allowed to be broken since she actually has to work for her results.
1 -
Since you're new to bubba, you're gonna get lower mmr survivors
10 -
How bad am I then when I have Bubba games that go completely sideways and everybody butt dances their way out of the gate while I sadly look at them from off in the distance, a single tear rolling down my leathery face after it snuck out through the eye hole...
*Sad Chainsaw Noises*

So you mean you, as a Survivor Main, knew how to hunt down other Survivors has you have experience playing against Bubba?
So you knew what he was capable of?
And how to deal with counters?
You cannot see it, but I am totes Pikachu Face right now.
12 -
doesn't this just prove that bubba is strong at really low mmr because people don't know how to position and avoid instant downs?
4 -
It's like playing one side for a long time benefits your gameplay when playing the other side or something
Heck it's the reason why I know how to be in long chases with a bubba like all you basically need is one of these three perks lithe ,sprint burst or balanced landing if you get a map with a drop combined with spine chill and resilience(for the scenario of a bubba smacking you with his m1) for quick vaulting and you have a 4th slot open for a perk my friend recommends windows of opportunity but for me I have iron will for mine just so I can heal myself/get healed in the scenario I get hit with the m1 and lose the bubba or the bubba gives up the chase
Like the bubba usually gets me in the end but by the time he gets me 2 and a half gens are usually done keywords usually

Your MMR must be very low.
14 -
You forgot Hillbilly in your Insta-down comment
9 -
-I- am the lowest possible MMR killer in the world. How do you not see this,
I DO NOT PLAY KILLER! EVER. I AM LOW MMR TOO
0 -
Op thinks grades = rank..
16 -
Probably explains why he thinks bubba is op and needs nerfs lol
7 -
Nice try. You talk as if Survivor's know which Killer they are facing, and then can go, "oh Ill equip this and this and this for Bubba"
LOL try again. Nobody knows which killer they are facing.

I don't complain about Hillbilly because he has to charge and you can dodge him. I've been instadowned by a Billy who once charged from halfway across the map and surprised me. I laughed and applauded him for that and felt no animosity, I thought that was such a great play, as it's rare to see. But normally Hillbilly is someone you can dodge and make miss.
BUBBA CAN TURN AND CHASE!

Comeback to this thread when your MMR is high and tell me Bubba needs nerfs.
12 -
I mean at low MMR I’ve stomped survivors with Trapper who’s apparently considered the worst killer in the game. I’ve ran Bubbas before if you know how to use pallets and windows he isn’t that difficult to kite. Now his camping is without a doubt extremely oppressive but in chase he can be outplayed. Let’s be honest here survivors want Bubba nerfed to make the game easier for them. After Bubba they’d just complain about the next killer in line.
3 -
I was just giving a build that helps you in chases which in fact can give you long chases with bubba if you know what you're doing like bubba is only dangerous up close with his Chainsaw which is why you use distance, narrow areas, pallets if he gets close and windows
Also you can give a 50/50 guess early on in the match If t's a bubba judging by if you hear a Chainsaw or not even if you do you could get the rare billy
Also loading screen tips say hi as they can tell you what you're going against
3 -
Like there's a reason why people who know bubba tell others to do gens while either looping or being camped because all the time he spends on one person gives others the chance to slam gens down like don't be altruistic against a bubba unless you know he's away from that hook via him chasing someone else
0 -
Well damn, I should do this with my no meta perk trapper build saying killers need nerf.
Sounds like you’re playing killer to validate a theory you have and came out with a affirmation within 5 matches. Can you really call yourself unbiased.
8 -
5 matches in low mmr
4 -
You know, game is extremely killer sided at early because 99% of survivors don't know what "fast vault" is, while all killers know what walking straight and pressing M1 is.
5 -
Show a video of the trial
8 -
That’s what I said lmao
1 -
I'm not even gonna bother, if you still don't understand that rank has no effect on matchmaking and that it's all based on MMR, then there's no point trying to discuss anything.
7 -
Yeah, I am not commenting on the premise of your OP, but you are correct that Bubba =/= Billy, and am always a little exasperate when people refer to them as if they are interchangeable.
Billy's chainsaw takes a lot more finesse and at least some degree of skill.
2 -
So since I escape 5 times in a row with slippery meat does that make slippery meat op? Also I had ace in the hole equip(wanted open handed lol) and got out 3 matchs ace in the hole must be op?
0 -
Not to be rude, but you know, killer as a whole gets a lot harder when you go up in mmr. You aren't going to double down ANY competent survivors. I am glad you had fun, though. I recommend you keep it up.
4 -
Wait until you play against survivors who know what a window is. Sure he eats up pallets but if your team is all on gens you can throw as many as you need
2 -
That is what Bamboozle is for. Never leave home without it.
0 -
Trading 1/4 perks to make up for a meh chase power.
0 -
LOL why are you talking like if I am good? Im a survivor main that NEVER PLAYS KILLER. I literally played bubba for the first time in my life, and again, -i have about 1 hour of TOTAL killer experience in the past 5 months. I AM AS LOW MMR AS YOU CAN GET.
0 -
Bubba chainsaw also takes skill though, especially against decent survivors who can loop while getting chased by chainsaw.
0 -
Then... that's normal you will win, at low MMR skill or power doesn't matter, just plain M1 with even a 4.4 and you can achieve 4k.
That's how this game works.
5 -
LOL why are you talking like If I am good?
Firstly, I'm not.
Secondly, If you acknowledge that you are not good and play at the lowest possible mmr then how did you expect to make any kind of point by playing 5 matches as a killer notorious for noobstomping then crying for nerfs?
5 -
Player with under 10 hours of Killer gets 15 Sacrifices with an easy to play Killer against Survivors who don't know how to play the game, proceeds to call the Killer OP instead of coming to a logical conclusion, that being his MMR is too low to go against Survivors that know how to counter Bubba
6 -
Felt like playing some more. Just did another game. 4k. Survivors upset in chat and did not have fun.
Please try to find any reason that Bubba is good for the morale and FUN of the player base, because there aren't any.

I'm a iri 1 very good survivor main. My complaining comes from there. This thread is just proof now that I get my hands on Bubba myself.
