Deathslinger is BUSTED
When they nerfed Deathslinger a few months ago I totally took him out of my killer rotation and just tried a couple of games with him last night and WOW are the changes unfun. The ADS time takes ages and gives survivors tons of time to dodge and what is the point of the terror radius increase when he is so slow he can't sneak up on any one even if he wanted to. Maybe he still works on PC but console DS is really a chore now.
Anyone else have the same experience?

The title almost got me, as to how I feel about Deathslinger, he's really bad now. Not Trapper level, but he's not good by any means

I quit playing him myself also since he just feels so bad now and indoor maps just kills him now. The few DS I've faced as survivor were all really bad as well. The one I met yesterday the DS was getting destroyed so badly we weren't even doing gens we were just fooling around chasing after him while he was chasing just 1 survivor at a time. Last 2 gens weren't even getting done until 2 of us died.

The TR sucks and was a change I hated and still do. Outside of that I still perform just as well as I did before. I can still hit shots fast enough that survivors can't react to. I was a hardcore COD, Delta force, Quake, Doom, etc player so maybe that's why but the only way I miss is if I myself cuck the shot up....not because the survivor made a great play dodging it.

I thought the title meant that he was OP or something but I read it just incase
I used to play Slinger as he uses a harpoon gun and thats super cool, now he feels super clunky and just doesn't feel fun to play whatsoever, I miss old slinger in a way

I don’t have a strong opinion on how effective or ineffective he is, but I do think his turning speed while aiming feels super slow. I think he’s the only ranged killer that doesn’t turn at the normal rate while aiming their weapon. If they remove that limitation he’d feel better to play for sure.

these changes didnt just nerf Deathslinger.
they effectively removed the Deathslinger from the Deathslinger.
Now he is but a worse Huntress, he no longer has an identity other than that.

Is think a good temporary solution would be to make him go at 4,4 m/s when he aims, and make his ADS speed not as before, but a bit faster, or as before but with a big cooldown. Right now it's really rough, if you miss it's a giant shift W

Btw @ScottJund here's what happened wishing his ADS slower, nobody enjoys playing him anymore.

Yep. Landing shots in indoor maps is super difficult, and you cannot risk to miss otherwise the shift W is worse than in outdoor maps

a good final solution would be to just revert the TR increase and forced ADS time prior to a shot.
both of these were fine, there was absolutely no need to nerf them in the first place.

Another killer deleted from my survivor games.

Deathslinger is still good. Still one of the best chasers in the game. If you played him pre-nerf, you need to get used to his new ADS timing.
If you are missing a lot of shots, just don't take every shot. Faking with his weapon is still very effective. It's not the meme it used to be; they made it take a full second cooldown to aim and un-aim (a nerf). But if survivors like to wiggle and shake their butts, he moves faster while aiming (a buff) compared to the pre-nerfed version (75% -> 85%). Wriggling survivors gain lose distance to ADS fakes.
Basically all the strategies of pre-nerfed Deathslinger are still present. I just went back to my original build on him, focusing on the perks Monitor and Abuse and Save the Best for Last and he feels very similar to before.

Shame it probably costs tons of money to create, add and implement new killers into the game. Only then to have them nerfed and practically never played at all.

His terror radius nerfs were a little too much he could easily be a 24m TR killer considering spirit is somehow 24m. I never played him before the nerfs but I've picked him up recently and his anti loop seems pretty good and his zoning is excellent.
