Caught some players cheating...
Hey all, I don't usually post anything but I think after my last game (Killer) it warrants an actual conversation about whether cheating is going to be addressed or not. I play a decent amount of both Killer and Survivor so I've had my share of questionable activities occurring on both sides of the aisle. Anyway, I just finished a match playing as Doctor and a number of odd things occurred during this specific game (it ended in a 4k but only because three of the four survivors DCed.) First thing, the match started and all four survivors were on a gen next to me. Naturally, I used Static Blast since all of the survivors were in front of me... it only affected one of them and they were in clear view of me. Okay fine, I let it go. Next, I land multiple hits on one of the Meg's and she screamed multiple times as if she were going to fall to the floor... kept running until I backed her into a corner. Then this Meg starts using Boil Over (this is going to be important later.) Once I hook her, she immediately DCed. Next, I run into another Meg pulling the same exact play (multiple hits and not falling.) Just to test my theory, I backed her into a corner too and she started with the BO and DCed after I hooked her. All of a sudden a gen right in front of me with nobody on it popped and so did another across the map. Long story short, all except the Lisa Garland DCed. I decided to check all of their perks just out of curiosity... none of these players had ANY perks equipped so how is it that Boil Over was even possible? It's very clear that this was some subtle level of cheating. I saved screenshots and video of the entire ordeal. I'm wondering if there is anything to do about this because I'm sure this is going on in games for other people as well. I think it's important to note that all of the players doing this were on console as was I. Any advice would be appreciated.

I filed an in-game report but I was told that it likely won't result in anything on console. I'm more concerned that they were able to "mask" their perks from view and I'm wondering how common that is.

You also needed to record it, I know PlayStation and Xbox both have built in game recording, but if you're playing switch you may be out of luck.

Thankfully it was on PS4 so it might be possible. I even messaged one of the players because I wanted to see what was going on and they won't respond. Things like this just make me question how many times this has happened in the past.

Quick question did 3 of them use calm spirit because that can prevent you from screaming
Edit disregard this my brain skimmed over the answer and i had to read the post twice

There is a requirement for evidence in order to ban players. There is a support system to get this going referenced in the above comments. In my experience, players lose their ability to play DBD on their accounts in about two business days (honestly less) if you jump through the hoops of providing evidence.

No problem. The whole situation was very odd compared to my past experiences with cheaters. Usually, they'll do whatever they can to survive while annoying the Killer. In this case, it might be safe to say that they were new-ish in terms of their exploits. I've had that multiple-hit thing happen to me in the past and I just thought it might be a connection error on my end. I did have a similar experience two weeks ago where a survivor had Soul Guard and managed to escape during end game collapse. That situation was SUS because there weren't any active Hex Totems so I'm not sure how Soul Guard activated. Something was up because my hit connected and it was as if endurance was active (which shouldn't have been possible since his team was long gone.)

Sorry, I'm new to this. I just thought it was interesting that players can now mess with the mechanics to use perks that aren't equipped at the time and then make it appear as though they don't have anything. That's pretty brazen.

They can have all perks equipped at once and appear as if they don't have any
If you ever play survivor and you see some dude has vigil up the ante open handed and then you see the scoreboard and nobody had those perks equipped then there was a cheater in the game
