Should Balanced Landing Be Buffed?
Question is on title pals.
My opinion on that, buff no but this perk needs some QoL changes.
First reduces the stagger duration should be 100%
Second height requirement should be lower.
This is only exhaustion perk you can not use every time because perk is very situational. So my opinion this perk can take some love.
What do you think?

That's a big no from me.
First of all, the perk is fine. There are some maps where this perk is S tier and then some maps where it is not so great. That's fine.
Second, the buffs you suggesting would be busted because you could create infinites on some maps.
Also what do you mean by making it trigger even on lower falls? It is allready getting triggered on super low falls lol.

I don't think height requirement is a problem? it can activate on that rock plate thing, and that is pretty low height I think.
less stagger is also not NEEDED, as you will gain distance with or without it.
I feel biggest strength of this perk is rarity itself anyway, buffing it gonna flood games with this perk (at least for a while) and would be less effective.

Infinite? You can not use this perk while you are exhausted, how exactly this perk will create infinite? Light me please

I am seeing this perk so rare, even Smash Hit is more popular than Balanced Landing. Because perk is so situational and you can not even sometimes.

Situational but since it interacts with maps can easily be broken, kinda like why perks that mess with wiggling/struggling shouldn't be buffed.

I don't think little buffs will make BL broken but okey, i respect your opinion even i disagree.

Im kind of against buffing this perk because i remember the days when it wasnt tied to a cd. Tractors on cowshed were infinites. I do agree there are maps where this perk is useless. /looks at sheltered woods

Nah, Killers dont want Perk Variety for Survivors.
"Every Survivor runs DH!!"... Guess what when one of the good Exhaustion Perks got nerfed into basically useless...
Balanced Landing should be buffed (aka reverted), IF they manage to rework the Maps (mainly Haddonfield) into something which is not problematic when someone uses Balanced Landing. E.g. if there is a Drop next to every Vault, there is no problem with Balanced Landing.
The bad Map Design was the reason why Balanced Landing got nerfed in the first place, because it was easier to destroy the Perk than actually fixing Maps. And it did not change anything, aside from removing a good Perk on the Survivor-Side, Haddonfield was still a nightmare to play as Killer.

This perk was broken because perk was reduces stagger with even exhaustion. But this is not happening anymore. So we can keep this effect and buff perk itself. Ofcourse buffs should not make perk broken again but at least it should be decent.

BL is already strong enough imo. I wouldn't change it.

Yes. Anyone saying the perk is fine is not considering that the pick rate is next to 0%. There's no reason to use BL when DH and SB exist. Heck, I even see Head On more than BL.

I think they should revert the stumble nerf now that Haddonfield is finally getting a rework.

Lithe is better too

The problem was with the old balanced landing giving you 75 percent stagger reduction even while exhausted, if they would just lower that down to like 30 percent and bring the old balanced landing back it would be okay and wouldn't be too overbearing and people would see it more often in the game, I still run balanced landing even though it's not the best perk

You´re forgetting Eyrie and any new map that was added that´s gonna have a infinite if BL was reducing stuttering while exhausted.
It´s still crap that BL got that nerf.

Bring back old balanced landing. I would immadietely drop DH.

Balanced Landing could get a buff, but reverting it to it's original state (which from my understanding was op) wouldn't be a good idea

Buffing BL with different way would be better. Old version was not healthy.

Only post so far with US vs Them rhetoric....color me surprised.
To the OP - I think it's in an OK spot at the moment....
Best case you fall from a high structure like Coal Tower/Game Hole/DDS (lots of use)/etc and get a guaranteed escape event + LOS block...
Weaker applications like falling off a hill can also function like a SB that does not need to be managed.
The original issue with the perk was with its unlimited stagger reduction regardless of exhaustion status - this was easier to remove than changing the entire height/fall mechanic for survivors and/or rebalancing every map with fall zones.
It's pretty obvious how and why it was changed from both perspectives.
It most likely won't get 100% stagger back as it does its current job well enough at 75% when used properly - it's not a weak perk.

I think the best buff BL could get is for every map to have more hills.
Shelter Woods doesn't have a single 1, most maps have 1 or 2 but there should be like 3 so Balanced Landing could be more consistent

This seriously would make BL on good state. But they already reworked most maps, i doubt they will touch them again.

I feel like certain Exhaustion Perks should have different cooldowns, more situational ones like BL should have like a 60/45/30 second cooldown while other like Sprint Burst & Dead Hard should remain at 60/50/40.

Their pattern of doing X (ie rebalancing a map or killer or w/e) and moving on indefinitely unless something breaks the game really slows down meaningful updates and changes, especially if it's related to something they've put effort into (ie Dead Hard validation issues).

This is actually good idea.

still better then dh

Eyrie is the easiest to fix with old Balanced Landing in mind - just remove the Breakable Walls next to the Upstairs Windows.
RPD would need the Library to be changed, the Windows would need to change into Doorways.
Dead Dawg Saloon has Drops next to almost all Upstair-Windows, I think there is only one balcony without a Drop next to it, this one should be changed (either make it a Doorway or add a Drop).
Last but not least Midwich, but this already has Drops next to every Upstairs-Window.
So none of those Maps would be infinites, with just a few Tweaks.

It's fine as is.

It was too strong. You should not get the benefit of no stagger while you're exhausted.

Okey, thanks.
