ONRYO COUNTERPLAY

if anyone is interested, shoot me a message, and ill tell you a secret. this will definitely counters the hit and run playstyle of sadako mains.

Bring COH, or tell your swf buddies to heal you?

Drop a pallet?

Spine chill?

Turn the tv off nearby the gen you're working on. A lot of her strength is due to her mobility.
4 -
Disconnect, so she can't hit you?

close. but its not enough. the thing is, she can just telport on a nearby gen. with her manifest cooldown, you cannot outrun her.

From what I've seen thus far, playing her and playing against her:
- Hide in grass/corn. Her camera is ridiculously low, and she will generally just not see you.
- Run through her as she demanifests. She'll often lose track of you and you'll gain distance.
- Don't bother with TVs unless you are heading for the endgame and are doing a 3man gen or something right next to one. If she pops out of a TV - hide or leg it. As long as you have an escape route planned, there isn't much she can do.
- She has no anti-loop tools whatsoever, meaning that if you get to shack or another strong tile, you're golden. Her height, again, hurts her as much as it helps her here - you can generally see her better than she can see you.

what is this how to bully the new killer 101?

Secrets don't make friends

GGEZ

The survivor we should have got.

- Let yourself get up to 5 stacks of condemned.
- See teammate on last hook getting chased by Sadako.
- Grab a Tape and run to the TV you have to deliver it to in order to remove stacks.
- Wait at said TV until you become fully condemned.
- Watch Sadako break chase to come after you/teleport to you.
- Pop in tape while she's teleporting.
- Enjoy the fact that you just saved your buddy, probably from across the map, and she teleported to you for nothing but another exhaustive chase.
I used this with my friends last night, worked like a charm!

Thanks for not begging us to message you and actually sharing something useful

Those are horrible concept perks
1 -
They're joke perks based on situations that have happened in different Scary Movies involving Brenda? I'm not exactly sure what you expected.
5 -
Oh, this is brutal lol. Well played.

Works even better if you 99 a heal on yourself before you get fully condemned and insert the tape. Having a healthy person get fully condemned is tempting enough for most Onryo's, but an injured one? IRISISTABLE! As soon as one killer we played against realized they'd been played by this tactic last night, they DC'd, and being a previous killer main myself, I felt pretty bad, but come on, the devs likely knew that survivors would figure out tactics like this to counter the new killer. Otherwise this is just terrible design.

You're supposed to disconnect after they hit you, we don't wanna be toxic or anything.

She counters herself so i doubt it's anything bigger than that.

RIGHT ON THE SPOT. Actually this is the same counterplay i strategized myself as well. what I will add is.
"when going to your designated tv, turn off all of the tv you can run by, (you can turn off around 2-4 tvs, this will be half of map cannot be teleported. you might be scared because you will get "marked", but please be aware, YOU ARE NOT EXPOSED per se, it only means your mori-able. If you got hit while going to your tv, you can insert tv the last minute, thus, she just wasted time thinking you can be mori-ed."
WORKS LIKE A CHARM HAHAHAHAHAH. i have done this myself, and my games just got lighter unlike the first launch of sadako.
I was able to formulate this strategy myself when i observed no one was doings tvs before. Coconut and Dowsey formulated a "supposedly" good sadako strategy which is hit and run. The strategy of hit and run sadako mains tendency is the remove all of resources(pallets) early game (since as a survivor, we tend to stun the killer to kill of time), unless your a god looper without using pallets, good for the team. Once the pallet near your gen is destroyed, you dont have anything to use when she returns back to you again while injured.
it came to my mind while i retieved the tape(from one game), and inserting the tape on the other tv, WHY NOT TURN OFF OTHER TVS as well? it will automatically subrtract the condemn state when you insert a tape. thus, our sadako killer was forced to walk demanisfested,(think about the small seconds you can save while doing gen, and not being teleported isntantly.
;) good luck survivor mains, this is a good counterplay against sadako.
P.S. add'l. tv placement doesnt change. if she tries to cut you off by telporting, just look for gen nearby. she might be there.

This is not exactly rocket science. COH / Self care or just..... you know.... one of the hundreds of pallets and windows.
0 -
the thing is CoH is a good counterplay, and self-care is just a bi-atch. it just takes time for you to heal, and with call of brine and/pop goes the weasel, you wont do any objectives, and by that time you finished healing, your gens are back to 0%. and by the time you spent being looped, you already destoyed ALL OF THE PALLETS with no gens done. you may healed yourself, yes, but healing wont finished you any gens, healing wont open the gates for you.

You forget there are 3 other teammates doing gens etc while you look the killer for 10 minutes. That's the issue. It is so easy to loop the killer for a long long time, by the time they down you (2 hits, or basically 3 because of DH), at least 2 gens will be done.
Then rinse repeat again, given the sheer volume of pallets. It would take a 30 minute game to break them all, and by that time it's tebaagging in the exit gate o clock.
The idea all pallets can be broken with no gens done is laughable.
