Yeah true, Fnaf fans here do bring up fnaf alot when something pops up that is like FNAF but is literally unrelated. They look at everything that seems to be a puzzle even though it's not, but it's mostly when any Chapter is near. I am a Fnaf fan and I even get sick of these posts.
It has Fnaf vibes but is no way a teaser or something. I only say this is because the first 3 games have a newspaper for a job application and if we are making it into a clue "even though it's not" Fnaf would match up if you use the roster of killers we want like Pennywise, Jason, Candyman, etc.
Hell, they could have put summer camp in the pic, then it will be Jason or missing kids which will be Slenderman/Pennywise. Though, to bring up the real news. This is not a teaser and just the Twitter guy having some fun.
Again, saying just because it resembles Fnaf it does not mean it's a teaser......also the new killer just dropped few days ago so making a teaser now is just bad business. Maybe like Midchapter but thats a hard MAYBE.
Plus, if it was Fnaf then we would get a puzzle like Hellrasier but much more tedious to figure out so this being an actual teaser is just sad.
Teasers usually drop after a month or 2 after mid-chapter so having one now makes no sense.
Also games are.....eh. I just like the reading and figuring out "ACTUAL" puzzles.

Sure? But on a daily basis I already get some combination of face camped, tunneled out of the game, left to die by 3 healthy teammates none of which are on death hook, t bagged, "ggez bb killer", told to kill myself, to get good, to uninstall, and general death wishes.
So when someone goes "oh well you don't want that other gaming community to come over to this game" excuse me if I roll my eyes as hard as I can.

Paladins I hear the n-slur and f-slur at least 5 times within a 3 hour playsession from people on my own team.
Like I said, DBD is bad, but having a fandom that's worse amalgamate in would be genuinely a worst case scenario

If this was a FNAF teaser from dbd mobile, then they'd be teasing something coming to them in October/November (assuming all dlcs release on mobile the same amount of time after the core series, since Mikaela just recently released on mobile, 5 months after her release to the core game, that would make the time between releases about 5 months). Also I want to add to this, DBD Mobile has a different team, and I know it would be a reiteration of what I already said but they also have a different dlc release schedule and anniversary. It doesn't make sense in my mind for DBD Mobile to be teasing a core game chapter for the core game anniversary. That would be the core team's job.

When I said I wanted a robotic killing machine in DbD, I meant something like the T-1000, not the animatronic from Chuck'E Cheese...

And people couldn't care less about the background of that character. The target audience for that franchise is clearly children, the character are cartoony and the game is cartoony. That's what it is.
It's like you'd tell me Tom from Tom and Jerry actually knows how to use a knife and he killed 40 children before appearing in the show. Would that make him suitable in DbD? Probably not, because it's a cartoony cat meant to amuse children, that even with the darkest background couldn't be scary or fitting.

Just imagine we get that killer I hear about named huntress she is such a hyped character from the game and whould a perfect addition to dead by daylight as it whould fit really well
(I kinda hate how fnaf fans are happy and dbd fans are not like bro look I play fnaf and as much as I think springtrap whould look good in dead by daylight I think the devs should rather fix the game first, getting licensed chapters won't save your game behavior

I feel this way too. This community is ironically so unnecessarily hostile about a FNAF chapter for literally no reason.
I want it out of spite, and for the new fans that will join the game.

I am personally not hostile towards the chapter itself, it could turn out interesting.
What I am hostile towards is the whole "this is a FNAF teaser"
By this point, the DBD twitter could as well post a picture with brown in it and people would say it is a Freddy reference and the new chapter is FNAF.
I still remember when the Hellraiser teasers were going on and even when we had the clues "hell", "raise", "1987" (release year), a pin in a wheel that is not in the game and a gambler in a cage (Frank caught in hell), people still said it's FNAF because... Springtrap is in hell, raise because, 1987 because the bite of '87, the pin because... That's used in animatronic costumes...? Lol, and the gambler because William is caught in the costume.
Edit: what did I say about people associating everything with FNAF?
