I dont blame people for camping in general cuz it is part of the game. It is just boring and I dont care about 4k that much. So I prefer to chase people in circles. I only camp when 3 people are running around the hook like fat kids around a chocolate cake.

By camping to get your 2K,3K,4K all your doing is rising the kill rate for that killer showing the DEVs that killers are strong not weak and there's nothing wrong with gen speeds.
But you do you I guess.

- You just need to get better at killer. Before you say "I'm good blah blah blah" I already know you are not because no true bred killer would complain about the survivors looping. Hold W, Pre-drop, spread, rush....is what majority have issues with and is what I personally see the most so I would be happy as Christmas Day is they were looping. Sorry dude I'm hitting the Git Gud button on you.

i love how everyone's response is "because it's boring!" but like... it's not boring to me. i have fun camping and watching survivors be helpless for a change. it still takes skill to defend a hook when 3 players are there. and to me that's fun. also "you're only gonna get one kill" you literally have to just click m1 to grab a survivor and now you got a hook and a slug. as long as you dont panick and pre-click it, but if you're used to it, you will rarely miss a grab.
by the way, if you take out one/two survivors this way and they only did a couple gens you can play normally after that since they're doomed. you dont have to camp the entire game. also, if they really do work on gens, they may end up 3 genning or even 4 genning themselves (yeah, it's possible on some maps) since they'll work on the gens farthest from the hook.
basically once you hook then grab you have effectively put two survivors out of the game. from there even if they ignored you, it's just two survivors working on gens, and it takes more time for that than it takes the two survivors dying. if they do come, it's just one or zero survivors on gens. you're inevitably progressing. if you have noed, it's guaranteed 3/4k. of course people will try to deter you from camping by saying "they'll just do gens" "they'll just save" "they'll just cleanse every single totem" riiiight. you can only do one of these, if even that. only a really coordinated swf could play optimally and leave you with just 1k, but they will never do that since it would mean leave their friend to die.
am i supposed to feel bad? it's not my responsibility to balance the game, it's bvhr's. y'all literally hold anyone accountable for the game's issues except the developers lmao.
as long as it's the most efficient way to play killer, i'll keep doing it. i don't see why i should get bullied and bm'd while also putting myself at a disadvantage by playing in a sub-optimal way. that's not fun for me. once bhvr balances the game i'll play accordingly.
also, i dont see myself as some sort of god player like you all assume, and i can take a loss no problem as long as everyone is polite about it. if the report system actually worked, and bm'ing was punished, i wouldn't bully the survivors. but i guess that the streamers making the "insane outplays, watch him dc!" and all the viewers who try to imitate them and think they're hot ######### bring them more money.
last but no least, it's not my responsibility to make sure the game is fair for the survivors or that they have fun either. im not a babysitter entertaining 4 grown ass adults.

Cheaters are one thing, but sweaty SWFs aren't a problem. That's how matchmaking is supposed to work. It's mostly Builds by Daylight anyway. 90% of "sweaty swfs" don't have much in the way of game sense

If that's the way you want to play go right ahead that's you. And they are balancing the game, they're balancing on the way you and others just like you are playing. Camp at 5 gens get an easy 4K come to the forms and start some stupid topic looking for attention.

Don’t worry about other people telling you what is or isn’t “fun”. If you enjoy playing this way, and it’s not against the game rules, you play however you want to play. Getting genrushed by a pro SWF team is also boring, but I guarantee you those players don’t care how their play style affects the killer’s enjoyment of the game.

Sometimes it's more engaging to lose and enter chases, than to win by doing nothing. Of course, if all you care about is winning, then playing LF and camping the first person out of the game, while using perks that benefit it + NOED is probably a grand time.

Hahaha. I love how the community made normal camping "facecamping" after real facecamping was removed.

Play as you wish, as are your enemies. Just because they could have multiple chances doesnt mean they get to use them. Just because Mercy can rezz people doesnt mean a sniper wont shoot her before she can do it, if a bad analogy is allowed lol.

You shouldn't even ask just play however you want to play.
If you want to defend a 3 gen and hang around the hook in the middle of it, or just defend a hook all game go for it.
The threat of being camped and tunneled out early just makes me a more cautious survivor at game start, as it should be.

The short version is because it's not fun for anyone. It's not fun being the one doing the camping, or being camped.
