The entire perk lets survivors come back from mistakes that should have downed them.
Threw a pallet down and the killers ignored it and come round the side and caught you off guard? No probs here's a DH straight to another pallet or vault.

As a ghostface player why are you asking about a perk that doesnt really effect you most of the time? as long as you mark you dont have to worry bout it. Sure its annoying at times just gotta learn how to play around it

I mean judging by the fact that everykiller in some way has to deal with dead hard against a good surv, id personally say theres not really a thing such as play around the dead hard, assuming that the player uses it properly which isnt really that hard. also gf doesnt all ways down with his power anyway given how inconsistant and bad he is against even half decent squads so dead hard would definetely effect him.

I got tired of it, between other obvious broken, boring and unbalanced things. So this is my opinion:
The game is such in a poor state right now that should be alarming for the devs, yet they seem to not care. So i pass until some quality over quantity thoughts enter their minds.

Its called baiting it out if you wait for the right moment you often can get them to waste it not always but alot of the time you can with a timed cancel like for me as blight i often have to rush past them into a j flick through their dh. This doesnt always work mind you its more about patience then anything else.

i dont care about dead hard in the open but if there using it for distance on a window or pallet, im sorry but theres no baiting that, its on the surv

No, but I also don't want to break the game - and a lot of the high MMR meta revolves around DH and CoH. Both of these perks need a rework though, absolutely.
For me, DbD this year is:
- Why am I waiting in a queue for so long as both killer and survivor?
- With the length of my queues, why are so many of my matches still bizarre?
- Onryo needs to go back into the oven for a month or two, she isn't quite done.
- Yay, more bugs and exploits!
- Ooh, login events!

I did, for a while - at least during primetime. Now it's maybe a 60-120 second queue at primetime, and around 3 minutes in the morning.
My survivor queues actually seem shorter right now than they were a month ago.

It’s actually quite strong. As a point of reference, for example, someone posted a massive table of all their games as killer for about 400 or 500 games. I don’t remember their exact stats but they were competent with something like an average 70-75% kill rate I think (so not a potato). They tracked what perks survivors brought each game as well, and after pivoting out to compare games that had 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 Dead Hards there was a very high correlation between having Dead Hard and a significantly increased escape rate. It was something like an 8% increased escape rate for the group per player that had Dead Hard. No other perk the person tracked had anything like that correlation. Borrowed Time, for example, was mostly flat, and CoH likewise helped somewhat but nearly to that extent.
Of course correlation isn’t causation, it’s possible that Dead Hard just happens to be used by excellent players so is a proxy for how good the players are versus itself being overpowered. But that strong a correlation is still a red flag that it’s very probably overpowered and should be looked at more closely.

That's not even the issue with dead hard, good survivors milk dead hard at shack for example and they won't throw the pallet they'll use it for distance to the window knowing they can reset the chase on you there's a misconception that it's a mistake and you should've caught them but no they knew exactly what they were doing most of the time and it was calculated to fully milk that loop then reset the chase without using the pallet, because now after that they can just throw the pallet and reset bloodlust and gain enough distance to force you to drop chase or throw the game on them, dead hard is getting nerfed anyway though the devs are gonna completely rework it how long that takes though is anyone's guess

Its a strong perk yes, but the frustration surrounding the perk comes from how annoying it is, and people are confusing 'Annoying' with 'OP'

I agree its unhealthy simply for the fact of how frustrating it is, but what can Dead Hard do that literally any other Exhaustion perk can't? The only thing it has over them is being a bit more versatile and accessible. But in all cases the other Exhaustion perks will net you MUCH more distance than Dead Hard ever will. Especially in todays meta where creating distance is so important,
I'm not saying Dead Hard is a weak perk, its far from it. But its far from being OP as well
