Call of Brine is officially meta, right?

Playing this on any sort of killer with mobility or teleports is insane. Uncleansable, regression equal to Ruin, AND you get a free notice (good skill check) when someone is on the gen? I get 5x the use out of this that I do with ruin. Combined with PR and DMS, it almost felt unfair.

    It's pretty good yeah.

I wouldn't run it with DMS though since you can't kick a blocked gen.

It’s definitely on its way. Hasn’t quite caught on yet. Very strong. It’s going to cause a lot of “tunneling” intentionally or unintentionally, I’m afraid. After just getting hooked and healed up, if you hop on that regressing gen with COB, that’s your ass. Most killers will break chase for that (as they should). You won’t even know it has it.

The new meta is great for top MMR, but we are getting our ass kicked in low-mid MMR. Too many players give up so easily whenever they face strong gen regression or gen denial. A large portion of our community are kids and teens- they don’t have the patience to adapt to the new meta.

I think it’s great on a few select killers. Nemesis, the good skill checks call zombies over.

Sadako and Freddy can teleport back. Demo, too.

It gets a lot harder to consider using it in 110 killers or 115 M1s like Clown. So I say, yes, meta, but a little more niche in my book.

It's a good and balanced Perk. It has a few drawbacks, doesn't synergize with every meta Perk, but it goes hand in hand with PR and PGTW, 2 Perks that are already pretty good

    It's good for "kickers".

I am more on the passive regression side, using No Way Out, Deadlock, Pain Res. and BBQ (for points).

But it's a great Perk for people who use active regression like Pop, Ruin, Call of Duty and Eruption or things like that.

I've already gotten in the habit of watching a gen regress for a moment just to see if it's regressing faster since you can tell that way if they have the perk or not.

If they do and I just got off hook I'd probably tap it but perhaps not stick around.

I'm loving it. We have been getting strong gen defense perks for killer.

If it didn't take 0.01s to stop a gen regressing it'd be meta, yes. As it is, it's good, but not meta. Not at all.

That’s a good strat. Thanks. I’m guessing the sparks fly out like ruin and pop in addition to fast regress?

I use it with Pop. Its really effective.

I don't think is that good especially since you need to use 2 slots to make it very good...but then again the same could be said for other perks so idk.

Still a good perk tho, it's far from weak.

    I like it, it’s a solid perk. 🙂

And it’ll fit with my “kick em all” build I sometimes run which is using four perks that all involve kicking gens (e.g. Trail of Torment, Dragon’s Grip, Pop Goes the Weasel, Call of Brine, Eruption, etc). Not the most effective loadout but definitely the one with the most kick! 😄

Idk if the sparks are any different from a regular kick or not (it didn't look like they were). I just watch the progress bar for a couple seconds standing next to it without touching it and see how quickly it's going down. If you know how fast normal regression is visually you can tell the difference.

Meta? Nah, good perk though for sure! If only we could get more like it

It's a nice perk, works extremely well on Wraith when combined with Pop.

That said, the meta is actually quite diverse right now. For regression, you now have literally three different paths - CoB+Pop, PR+DMS, Undying+Ruin. I think that this is a good thing.

Its probably my favorite gen regression perk at the moment. We finally have a reason to kick gens again, plus its even a decent tracking perk.

COB + DG isn't a bad combo. The gen regresses for 30s or they get hit with exposed

That's amazing, I'm adding that to my build in place of DMS! Nice tip

But it still needs Gens to be kicked so there's that... Killers have vary little time to do much Gen kicking

But it's regression rate is spot on

Freddy main here. My standard build is Pain Resonance, DMS, Corrupt and Pop. I tested swapping call of brine for corrupt and I found myself having to work way harder for one simple reason: the regression stops as soon as the gen is tapped. As such, COB wasn't really all that useful until later in the game (the longer the game goes on, the most useful it becomes - especially once a survivor is dead and they have to leave gens to make saves). That being said, I prefer my original build because it stops early game gen rushing and if I get those early downs/hooks, PR/DMS/Pop are enough to get the job done.

I'm thinking this build will work effectively with my Artist the perk build is BBQ, call of brine, dragons grip and the last one could be either trail of torment or dead lock or discordance or surveillance so what do you guys think that build on artist because I think it's good

kicking is waste of time, nothing changes that.

It can reduce the wastefulness but still a waste.

Is this perk working on multiple gens at same time? If yes, i will probably use it with Pop.

  • ArtistVenjix

Well what do you prefer ruin to be gone in 12 second's or have a perk that can has the same regression as ruin but last forever

  • ArtistVenjix
    ArtistVenjix Member Posts: 12

There's probably many things to work with call of Brian like what is said about my perk build on Artist like call of Brian combo with dragons grip now that will be scary and I had a massive win streak with my build on artist but yeah I love call of Brian more than ruin because ruin will be gone in the first 12 second and with ruin undying will be gone in the first 60 seconds

But you have to manually walk up to, and kick the generator, needs to be active for 40 seconds to get the same value as pop, but can be undone in .01 seconds if a survivor taps it.

It's definitely not terrible but I think it's only for killers with great mobility. Personally I put it next to surge/jolt.

If the survivors want to let you kick and regress all the gens for free, then sure.

I like to run it on nurse with Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, BBQ and Pop. While the increase in gen regression is nice, I usually run it for the free info. I consider it to be more of an info perk than a regression perk.

  • RaSavage42

I have run it on Pig... with mild success

I have been Using COB- Eruption- Corrupt- Whispers

My thinking is if I get COB on a gen then a Survivor comes to stop it... Hopefully I am in chase with another Survivor so once I get the down the Gen Explodes and if there are Survivors on the Gen they scream and are incapacitated for 16 Seconds

But in the heat of the moment it goes wrong... LOL
