Game crash - Searching lockers while demanifested

I just crashed on Yamaoka's Estate searching a locker while demanifested as Sadako. I don't know if a survivor was inside of it or not. Attempting to join another game after crash brings up the error message that I could not connect to the host.
Restarting the game seems to have allowed me to play again after 10 seconds of matchmaking lock (?).
