Ideas to fix the game

Me and a friend was dropping ideas for fun how to fix the game, we got some quiet nice ideas, some I already posted.


  1. Take out perks, they're to much of them and 60% of them are like C, D, E or F-Tier perks so no use ingame and merge them to one. Like Unnerving Presence, Distressing, Colourophobia, Overwhelming Presence. Putting Resilience and This is not Happening together. (My favourite Dead hard and No Mither). Every Survivor/Killer gets 2 teachable perks instead of 3.
  2. Making Patches that dont bring new content, they should just fix things, reworking maps, perks, survivor, killer.
  3. Changing small things like Survivor sitting in lobby at the campfire and chill there instead of standing randomly right next to it.
  4. Rework Bloodweb, feels too grindy and it's the same like everytime for example take the cap out of lvl 50, change the design, makes it more special to invest a big amount of BP in it.
  5. Take out the cap of 1.000.000BP, no need. I want to play dbd on every 13th of the month and not playing the investing 2.000.000BP simulator
  6. Fix the Ranking System, it doesnt work at all, take time to fix it.
  7. Change Adept Missions for Killer, to make it fair and possible. Double-Pip is extremly tough to get with just 3 teachable perks in red ranked. Let's make it to 4k or every category getting atleast gold.
  8. Red Add-Ons for killer shouldnt be bad, it's fine if there very strong. That's the whole point about "ULTRA-RARE" Add-Ons. Taking a dash away by the nurse for some movement speed is terrible.
  9. The Hatch and espacially keys are pretty bad. Mate of mine is doing some old archive missions and she needed to escape twice through hatch while opening it with a key. It took 4 days for her and plays everyday like 1-2hours. Key is a pretty joke. I dont want to revert the change cuz it was pretty op. I want to find a way to have it as an escape but not free. The opening animation was the first good step in the right way!
  10. Show the killer in Lobby which Survivors are premade, if u know u are getting full swf, you can adept your build on it. swf is already kinda op, it would balance this a bit.

    I like 2,3,4,5,6,9,10. I would be happy if any of those were implemented.

    honestly i'd love 2017 dbd back i had such fun playing back then the game is just going downhill and literally roblox DBD is doing a better job at this point...

    the grind is insane i've spent like 2 3 million bp on nea and i havent even unlocked all perks on her nor do i have all tier 3 its super annoying the grind is to long. CoH ruins the game i play twins sometimes and CoH makes it so hard... they removed stretched res even tho it didnt give you an advantage... we have dead hard hit validation which sucks... you cant see teammates perks. you cant see the killers ping... some perks are really selfish andif your teammates run them its gg (no mither)

    Only some of these ideas are good.


    1. NO. There should NEVER be a time where the team REMOVES content from the game. Instead of removing the perks, they should take a tiny bit of time to buff/nerf/rework the perks to make them viable. If they're a waste of space - make them worth the space, it's no more difficult than changing things around to make it more fun and dynamic.
    2. NO. They should try to fix things, but new content is always welcome. NEVER discourage a dev team from bringing fresh content to the game.
    3. NO. Standing by a campfire is a bit important to let the killer and other survivors see exactly who everyone is and what items they are bringing. I get that they should have better animations than standing upright - but sitting down could prove difficult to show items and cosmetic nuance through animation and posture.
    4. NO. Bloodweb is fine. Played for nearly 2,000 hours and there isn't a problem with it. Even hardcore streamers haven't lifted serious complaints about it.
    5. NO. If people didn't have a cap for 1,000,000 bloodpoints, they could get bored with the game eventually. The primary benefit of the cap is to encourage players to USE the bloodpoints and get new items, try new characters, and invest in new strategies. After playing this game solid for 3 years - I have never ground my teeth because I was trapped at 1,000,000 BP and had nothing to do with them. This is an artificial problem.
    6. YES. They should fix the matchmaking system - but are you talking about RANK or MMR ?
    7. YES. Although, some players have contested that Adept missions are intended to be extremely challenging - in which case they should make survivor adepts require a double pip as well (Which is still unfair, but at least closer)
    8. NO. Rarity indicates frequency of use. There's a very common pattern in attachments. Brown, Yellow, Green - these usually have the same buffs and gimmicks of increasing quality and use. Purple and Red typically have unique usefulness and powerful buffs. Purple addons shouldn't be a straight buff, but usually slightly change how the Trial is played. Red addons should completely change how a killer approaches a Trial. The attachments do not need to be 'The best' or even outright 'good' - all that red addons need to do is change how the trial is played to some degree or another.
    9. EH. No winning with keys. They should find other ways to make them useful (Opening exit gates, opening boxes, etc.). But if they implement keys like they used to - it would be very bad very fast. If they reverted to the old system, they could take away the Hatche's ability to spawn before 1 generator remained. 2Gen escapes were the worst. However, there are perks and items to help people find the hatch with a key, so it isn't that big of a problem.
    10. NO. While it's a valiant effort to break up the disparity between solo que and SWF - there are only 2 things that will happen if this was implemented, from least to greatest: 1.) The killer will turn on sweat mode and bring the most meta perks and items once they see the match up they're going against. Once they see that there's a group of SWF, they're going to bring direct counters to altruistic play. 2.) 95% of the time, killers will just dodge and SWF will turn into a dead style of play. No survivors will be able to play with their friends, because no sane killer will go into a match knowing that everyone is in a call. Que times will go through the roof and this choice alone will probably kill SWF and make a huge dent in player retention for survivors who are social.

    1. the perks are kind of the whole point? maybe combine the super similar perks into one, balance the already OP ones (NOED,DH Etc)
    2. they do that already, new content is what keeps the fan base happy/expanding
    3. thats.... that's not even an issue? that's personal preference. does not affect anyone in the round whatsoever.
    4. Fair. Buddy of mine has a god tier claudette with every possible perk at purple. Dude put more into dbd than I've put into my whole life. Granted, if that's how you want to spend your time, fine. But yeah, too much grind, not enough pay off. Don't abandon the blood web entirely, make it more conducive to skill acquisition and skill expansion on both ends.
    5. blood points are there to spend. if you want to point dump all at once, go for it. But, a million blood points is totally justifiable. if you get to that point, dude just upgrade.

    7. i don't follow that at all. Gibberish but, sure ill vote yes.
    8. also don't understand this (colorblind so ill just agree)
    9. leave the hatch alone. it's a last hope type of pressure in EGC and it makes it way more immersive that way. Yes, keys are lame and hlaf the time are a waste. change the keys, find other criteria for the hatch, then we're good.
    10. nah. the whole point as is: killer knows who they're hunting, survivors are none the wiser until they're face to face, even then, if survivors are sfw, i mean, that's kind of the bare bones of ANY horror movie in the last decade. if playing sfw makes the killer re approach how they play, so be it. If killer gets an advantage of knowing who they're playing against (solo v team), survivors should get some sort of heads up too.
