Solo queue finally made me give up something
After hitting second stage while the killer isn't even camping or hook trading to get someone off hook and then nobody comes to trade for me I just can't be bothered to do struggle checks anymore. Seriously, if not one person can get off gens or hiding in a corner to come save their teammate from getting more than one hook state per hook I'm looking for another group.
Sure, I completely understand if I'm being camped by Bubba and I'll hang on as long as I can but if nobody even makes a move to go for a save I'm just leaving that incredibly painful process and hoping the next group is better.
Normally, I just shrug it off but it feels like it's happening a lot more this week than normal which is part of why I'm so frustrated with it. Has anyone else noticed an uptick in this happening or have I just been super unlucky?

The same. U are not alone, it's always happens to me.

Pro Tipp: stopp caring about escaping.
Even if you die, it dont matter.

Exactly that, just focus on completing archives or getting as much bp as you can (not to the point where you throw the game ofc).
Also this behaviour might've increased because new players. Which is bad because you don't get saved, but good to know new people actually are trying out this game.

Please don't die, it will increase kill rate and thus very harmful for killers.

Then you should consider to bring Kindred if this is a big problem for you. Everything that helps coordination in solo q is worth bringing.
3 -
In that case you are lost with terrible teammates. I would rather get on with my next match then haha.
What Kindred brings is a greater chance of this not happening.

Yes, the God damn solo q nightmare.
Why are survivors so afraid to play the game anymore? People have no situational awareness, letting each other hit second, for no reason, just screws the team.
5 -
Its not about escaping, it's about wanting to play the game you queued for
6 -
That contradicts with giving up and suiciding.

So you are okay being THAT guy.
This is no better than those DC on first hook people.

I see more and more facecamping bubbas lately, that's why i bring kindred. Set yourself another goal than just escaping tho, you can't win every trial. I'll mostly see how much flashbangs i can make or how many pebbles i can throw in a single trial.

1.) Because you are sandbagging your teammate.
2.) Because you are quitting.
3.) Because you are screwing yourself out of bloodpoints.
It is so weird to me that if a Killer does ANYTHING but play the game by the Rulebook, they are screamed at to "just play normally!" but Survivors think that playing normally for themselves literally includes suicide on hook.

I'm unsure if you actually read my entire post. The killer isn't camping and, during the entire first hook stage, isn't at the hook yet nobody can come for a guaranteed safe unhook. In fact, I even stated that if I'm being camped I'll stick around as long as possible but I'm not going to stick around for wiggle checks anymore so I can most likely one hook. How is that sand bagging?

I often bring Kindred, but the others are not sure if the killer is just camping outside the 16m aura range, so I bring Open Handed to help with this.
The problem is that when others are hooked I'm pretty good at stealthing around killers while I can see their aura from Kindred + Open Handed. This means I'm less likely to end up on the hook, so Kindred + Open Handed goes to waste; especially if I lose the hatch stand-off and die first hook.

I'll hold on in case someone grabs me before I die (they usually do) but then I just play the game to my benefit. Just hit the objectives and get as much bp as I can. I don't really pay attention to the other survivors after that, i figure if they don't wanna be team players then I won't either. Kindred is always a part of my build so they can see what's going on, and that's probably why this situation thankfully doesn't happen often to me. No excuse really when it does though

I do the same, none of them deserve to escape if they let you reach stage 2.
