Bloodborne Chapter - The Hunter

The Hunter - Based off Bloodborne

Story: He was a servant for so long to the moon presence and wants freed from the hunters dream. The Entity senses the desperation off Gehrman and takes him away with the promise of freedom, only after he cleanes the 'beasts' in the Entity's realm.

Killer: Gerhman, The First Hunter
Terror Radius - 32 metres
Speed - 115%
Survivor: Doll (Lady Maria)
Map: Hunters Dream

Ability: Blunderbus
When he uses his weapon it will injure anyone within a 45° Cone in front of him. The weapon has a max range of 8 metres. The weapon needs reloaded after every shot. The reload time will be the same as a successful hit from weapon.

Weapon: Scythe
This weapon works the same as all other weapons in the game. This weapon has the additional ability to make Gehrman dash forward with the scythe and be able to pull survivors back to him (Anyone who played the game will know which attack this is). Only way to dodge this attack is to crouch.

Mori: This would be the same as the ending where you choose to end the dream. He stands behind the survivor as they get up to their knees, he then pulls back the scythe to behind his head and slices their head off. It's quite simple but makes the most sense with the story.

Killer Perks:

Grant Us Eyes: The Entity senses survivors close and will not let them hide. When a survivor is within 16m of the killer and not performing any actions for 25/20/15 seconds the killer gets a notification and the aura of the survivor for 3 seconds.

Locked Down: You become obsessed with a survivor. The Entity knows why the obsession is important to you and gives you a reason to keep them alive. While the obsession is injured, downed or hooked the totems around the map become locked and cannot be cleansed. The obsession can heal themselves 100/75/50% faster. If the obsession is sacrificed then the totems become unlocked.

Blood Infusion: You have mastered the power of blood and know how to use it to your advantage. You can now infuse your weapon to give it more power. After successfully killing a survivor you can now infuse your weapon with blood. If you choose to do so survivors will now have the exposed status for 40/50/60 seconds. Can only be done once per match. Killer is the only one who knows they have the exposed status.

Survivor Perks:

Hear Our Prayers: You are alone and afraid, praying is your only option. When your the last survivor and the hatch spawns it will spawn within 72/60/48 metres of you.

Give Us Strength: You always knew how to draw the strength out of people, give them strength when they need it most. For every heal state you fully heal a survivor you gain a token. After collecting 6/5/4 tokens you can heal a survivor from the dying state to injured state using a secondary action. You will lose all tokens earned after performing the action.

Insight: You have gained insight which gives you the knowledge of a great one. Every time the killer sees the aura of 1/2/3 survivors you get the same aura reading.

I haven't written that much for the story since FromSoftware games have their story hidden in the games and I wouldn't know it well enough. I write just the basic summary of why he was taken. Also choosing the survivor was difficult, the doll was the best choice.

Any feedback or ideas on how to improve it are welcome. This is a draft but it's hard to find people who know both games.

    Personally love bloodborne so this suits me down to the ground but cant see this happening :( it's such a shame as well. I'm not sure about the ability since it's so situational but I think the dash with the scythe is a good compensation for this. Mori is perfect!

    Locked Down would give hex totems like devour hope and huntress lullaby a good reason to run. It's balanced with the fact the survivor can heal faster. Grant Us Eyes would work very well with Whispers and would really trying this combo, also would help with survivors hiding when the hatch spawns. Blood Infusion would be cool since you can choose when to use the exposed effect of it. Would run it over Haunted Grounds personally. Give Us Strength sounds strong but i think in practice it wouldn't be. Healing a survivor 1 full heal state without them even tapping themselves with self care is tough. Also if you do help someone with the 4 tokens you will probably get hit anyway so the killer with probably want to kill you which is your own risk to take.

    - Not Sure
    Hear Our Prayers is strong but very situational so it is fair since you need to be the last survivor left with only 2 gens done. I just am not sure if I'd run it unless I'm playing solo. Insight sounds strong and I can see some SWF potentionally abusing this. Maybe a slight change needed? Also need a set of tiers for this.

    Thanks for your feedback, i got all the trophies in bloodborne and I know it is unlikely to happen since it's a ps4 exclusive game but I love the game.

    I understand your concerns with Insight, it for me is a perk to bridge the gap between what swf and solo players know. When I play swf we basically can find out what perks a Killer is using, such as B&C or Nurses Calling. That's why I don't see it being so strong when in a swf lobby but I understand where your coming from. I was going to make it an obsession perk where if you weren't the obsession you could only see survivors within 12/24/36 metres of you so that could be an option.

    Yea I think having it as an obsession perk would work better. The tiers make sense for the perk so well done.

    Dissappointed that Locked Down isn't one of the killers new perks. Would work brilliantly with them, especially with their ability making healing take so long. Even Give Us Strength for the survivor would be better than one or two of his perks.

    Well I'll consider making it an obsession perk thanks. Also I'd love Locked Down to be added eventually, would make hex totems worth running. So many cool perk builds could be made using it.

    Haha nice concept. I like that you gave him 2 abilities.

    Though i guess a blooddrunk hunter like gascoigne or random hunters might be better suited as a killer of the entity. Gehrmann seems very reluctant/tired of serving, but that could be even better in someone elses view.

    But getting chased by gehrmann in his pimped out ragged cape would look awesome

    Btw scythe throatslit mori is awesome, especially since he considers it a mercykill.

    Yea the mori was a no brainer in my opinion. It is just so perfect for his character. The thing Gehrman is he is desperate to escape the moon presence and doesn't know what the entity can do. Some killers are tortured into doing the entity biding so he could be the same, but I think it's better if he's tricked into it.

    Thanks for your feedback, what do you think about the perks? And what rank do you play at because this would help me understand how these perks work at different ranks.
