Next mid-chapter is on the way (next PTB is a month later i guess). So what is your expectations?

Me:

  1. Haddonfield Rework
  2. Ghosty and Legion changes
  3. Dead Hard rework/nerf
  4. CoH nerf
  5. Grind rework
  6. Solo-q Buffs
  7. Some perk buffs for both sides

I know, i have so much expectations. I know most of them may will not happen. Because i know how to BHVR works but i will keep my hope anyway.

Only thing I’m expecting is the Legion/GF changes with their perks seeing buffs. Maaaaybe the return of Haddonfield.

The rest is still another “cycle” away, if patterns are to repeat themselves.

I really doubt Legion and Ghostface are going to get both their changes at the same time, it'll probably be one or the other.

Personally, I do feel fairly confident that the Haddonfield rework is going to be in this upcoming midchapter. Anything else, I'm not sure; I somewhat doubt Dead Hard will see changes for a little while since I got the impression they were still figuring out exactly what they wanted to do with it, but pretty much any other perk on either side is fair game.

I think a lot of the big stuff will be saved for the Anniversary update with the new chapter, which makes sense. One giant update to rally up the players. So I believe the next mid-chapter patch will feature Legion reworks, Haddonfield, and maybe a couple perk changes, which is fine with me as long as the Anniversary update is a big one.

I just hope it won't be bad like last one. We are waiting 3 months for this updates and they should worth it.

Did they change major things with last annivesary chapters? I don't remember any.

I mean just don't have expectations and you will be suprisingly happy if they do a nice change.

but also, Haddonfield, my beloved come back ! Unless they somehow will still need more time to work on it.

Key rework? Did they said they gonna rework keys? Because i never heard this.

Id rather they reworked Haddonfield than reinstated it. Coldwind was done a year ago this month.

Omg, i forgot about that. They are talking about so much things but all of them "soon". Sometimes you can not remember.

They have stated that Haddonfield is deactivated until it gets its rework..

Potentially the haddonfield rework and maybe the legion/ghostface updates but less confident on those. The updates for those killers also may or may not necessarily come out at the same time, we just know they’re being worked on.

Beyond that, probably some more perk changes like usual (hopefully coh nerf included, but probably just more buffs to bad perks which is good too) and maybe changes to the grind? Perhaps another update on solo queue changes too, but not sure. Guess we’ll see.

You said what we expect. Your list is what I'd like.

    I expect:

Haddonfield is exaclty the same, but now has 40 breakable walls, all of which make loopis infinite until broken. Bonus points if there's still multiple windows to exit each house.

Legion and Ghostface get mostly add on changes, Legion is still ass, Ghostface still only uses recharge.

Dead Hard gets a very rough finger wagging and a telling off, is still disgustingly brainless and strong.

Circle of Healing untouched, because it's clearly so balanced.

A perk nobody uses is buffed to the point of being completely broken.

Other perks nobody use are buffed so slightly that their pick rate doesn't go up at all.

I'd like to see a MM fixed (backfill/long wait/skipped lobbies) and seizure-inducing flashlight macros addressed. I don't expect much, however.

Role balancing incentives and matchmaking tweaks. They *have* to address this.

    Haddonfield

    Perk tweaks

    Killer tweaks/add on passes

    Charges on boons

    Cooldowns on scourge hooks

I just want both the Switch and PS4 to have better optimization. Those two have the worst graphics and framerates. PS5 is still hard to find and I can't afford to be paying $1000 from a lazy scalper.

Some buffs to useless perks and addons that remain useless a giant nerf to good addons and perks/ killers to compensate.

Haddonfield. It's been disabled for awhile now, no other map was disabled during rework. It's time to get it back so there's one more map keeping me away from RPD and the increases performance issues it causes. I'm hoping when it comes back it's still an awesome map for Trapper. I hope it comes back during this mid-chapter and not during anniversary because that's even longer and I could see Haddonfield rework as excuse to not get a new map at Anniversary if it goes that long.

Wasn’t the hatch rework what they were talking about? It came out after the 5th anniversary event last year.

Maybe a 'slap on the wrist' nerf for Dead Hard like they did with CoH, a few Killer Add-on nerfs on the level of Twins' Toy Sword nerf, one big nerf for Artist or Blight and some buffs that will make useless Perks less useless

  • ThanksForDaily

So no nerfs on killers or their strong slowdown combo perks because they are fair and balanced, I see.

Content-wise I don’t expect much. Hopefully Haddonfield rework and either GF or Legion. Some perk changes and addon changes but nothing substantial.

otherwise I expect the community to react irrationally and hateful against the devs while focusing on minor issues like linked cosmetics or some kind of us vs them topic while completely ignoring actual issues

    1. Haddonfield Rework
    2. Ghosty and Legion changes
    3. Dead Hard rework/nerf
    4. CoH nerf
    5. Grind rework
    6. Solo-q Buffs
    7. Some perk buffs for both sides

I would say that’s a pretty good guess in the original post above. Mandy did mention recently Haddonfield is disable with no specific date to come back though so I’m not sure if it’ll be ready for the next midchapter.

Ghost Face and/or Legion seem somewhat likely, those have been in the works a while now and the midchapters are when they typically release character revamps and balance passes.

A Dead Hard revamp is sounding pretty likely too, whether or not it’s in the midchapter though might depend on what exactly they’re doing with it. If for example they just reduce the distance lunged or remove or reduce the invulnerability time those probably aren’t too hard to program compared to if they did something more complicated like splitting it into two perks.

I don’t think we’ll see another Circle of Healing Nerf this soon after the last nerf. Even if it still needs another tweak they might want to keep monitoring it a while longer.

I kind of doubt the grind rework is coming this midchapter, whatever it is they’re doing on it is almost certainly a major project and they only just announced it in January. I’m thinking it’s probably something that’s aimed for summer or fall.

I could maybe see those solo Hud icons they mentioned showing up. It sounded like that was farther along in January than just an idea stage so maybe it’s almost ready?

And there’s always perk tweaks to every midchapter, that’s nothing new.

I expect the legion and ghostface changes are gonna make them worse. Probably some new gamebreaking bugs like lithe crashing everyones game, some pointless perk changes, a lot of addon nerfs, and some bad perks that were buffed so bad they straight up repeat the boil over fiasco.

  • Brimp
    Brimp Member Posts: 3,059

A legion and ghost face "rework" when its prob just gonna be an addon pass.

A perk change here or there, repeat questions with the same answers, and probably something to outrage the killer players.

I don't like Artist, she is not my type killer but i don't think she needs any nerf or change. She is okey and balanced. But BHVR nerfed Freddy, Wraith, Pinhead... So you never know.
