See I don't think most survivors realize that the game is really a 1v5 it's the killer vs survivors and the killer is also fighting there power the whole time to get it to work.

... But that isn't saying BT will be base kit. That is them dodging the question.

Or maybe it means the meta is overtuned because they buffed the arguably best exhaustion perk in the game when they shouldn't have. Or maybe they should look into how to make the meta perks less necessary.

Contrary to popular belief that doesn't confirm BT basekit. It's speculation at most.

During the last live stream Q&A. They didn't directly say they were planning on making BT partially base kit... but things went roughly this way. Paraphrased because I can't be bothered to look it up:
Question: "Are there any plans to make DS and BT base kit?"
Lead Dev: "We have no plans to make Decisive Strike base kit."
Dev 2: "I notice you didn't say anything about BT. Do you want to comment on that?"
Lead Dev: "We have no plans to make Decisive Strike base kit."
Which many people (myself included) took to mean that they are definitely thinking about doing that or something like it but aren't ready to announce anything about it.

That answer is literally just reinforcing they are dodging the question.

They could have discussed doing something with it literally 15 minutes before the stream, it could be in production, it could be in testing, it could just be an option they've considered as a development team and don't want to tell the public, etc. etc.

This guy gets it. When you play a good 1st person FLUID shooter you understand that some of these 1st person Killers feel like slow, clunky garbage. Ex. Waiting for Nemesis to put his damn hand down and use the tentacle again, but his hand stays there for a second with my finger OFF OF THE BUTTON, the tentacle does one more little wiggle, THEN he puts his hand down and I can use it again. What is the point of the slow and terrible feeling Killer Powers??? Freddys don't feel like that??!! Pinhead is the same issue. Have to wait for him to bring his hand back toward his body then down to his side, THEN you can do it again....... Like.....what? Every Killer power and animation should be as smooth as Oni holding out his hand to absorb blood. Simple, easy, FLUID.
Deathslinger was a perfect example before they completely butchered him. When Deathslinger had the faster iron sights, he had that GOOD FEELING to his power. Fast and responsive feeling. These game developers will literally GUT anything, EVEN IF IT FEELS BETTER IN ITS CURRENT STATE, if too many people simply complain about it.... Deathslinger was STILL TRASH before the nerf.... Destroy your own game....why don't you...... -_-

There's no health bar. In general, survivors can be healthy, injured, or dying. That leaves pretty crappy options for trying to balance killers. We get cooldowns, slower power bars, and clunkier controls (some killers came with extra stuff, like Sadako's condemned and Plague's sickness, giving the devs other numbers to play with). The clunky controls make playing certain killers feel miserable, it absolutely sucks to see things balanced in that manner. When controls feel clunky or janky, it ruins a game. It's not even about losing. A person can have fun while losing and be determined to improve. The average player is turned off by clunky controls and won't bother to give it time or attempt to get better if the gameplay isn't fun at the base level.

You know what makes the game even less fun? Players DC'ing when they verse a killer they don't like. I play a lot of spirit, and 4 out of the 6 games today had 2 people DC the moment they found out what killer they were playing against.
Yeah, stay in the game when it's a weak killer, but the moment they see a blight, nurse or spirit, then suddenly it's too much and instantly ruin the game for all the other players in the match. I could rant about this for ages, but it has made playing killer seriously not fun. If I want the survivors to actually stay in the game, I got to pick anything but those 3 killers. Weak sauce man.
Can't even play survivor, because the same thing happens with my "team"mates when it's a Blight, a Nurse, a Spirit or a Huntress. I think I've seen more people DC today than I have all week.

This why I quit, I surprised nobody talk about how bad legion is especially on console with the constant freezes. You miss on attack and your stunned for 5 seconds lol. Meanwhile survivors got instant deadhard and instant 360 that you auto aim cannot even track properly lol

I've actually complained about that numerous times on these forums, how Legion stunning himself out of his power when he whiffs is absolutely unacceptable on console where whiffing is unavoidable due to the fps, frame drops, controls, etc. The response (or lack thereof) makes me think either no one listens or no one cares. It sucks, because Legion has some of the best cosmetics, but I find playing as them miserable, especially when their power isn't that great in the first place. It's definitely not good enough to justify having such a heavy punishment placed on it.
Usually, when I mention how poorly things work on console, I'm told by someone that only PC matters and things shouldn't be balanced based on console, like taking both into consideration is impossible.
Legion, for example, originally had no missed attack cooldown while in his power, and now a missed attack stuns him and takes him completely out of his power. There's middle ground! He could just have a missed attack cooldown. I don't know why it went from one extreme to another.

The difference between Oni's M2 and Deathslinger, Nemesis and Pyramid Head's M2 is that one is only used for collecting blood to build up your power while the other ones can cause direct damage and when you have no cooldown on those powers, it leads to the problem Pyramid Head had on release and Deathslinger had up until his zoom speed got nerfed.
It created a lose lose scenario for Survivors where the Killer would just spam M2 without using their power and guarantee a hit 99% of the time. Use windows/pallets? get hit with power. Not using windows/pallets? keep zigzagging while the killer spams M2 until he's reaches you and if you stop trying to zigzag, get hit with power.

It's in GamePass, granted, but was only free for one PS Plus rotation two years ago.
Either way, the game is still in the top percentile of games played across Steam/PSN/Xbox - the cost of the game wasn't the topic of discussion.

those are good changes ....sadly there is a lot of bad things currently ( Bs map tiles and pallets / Giant maps not helping with the HOLD W meta / DH / SBMM / optimization got worse / alch ring /MMR punishing good people just for dying againts bubba or just for being altruistic / Boons are still a problem (CoH and the new one of the ringu chapter )and more grind....aswell😐️

Yea I got three matches of 3v1 in a row today, one of them was spirit, the other two were freakin MYERS and TRAPPER and people still manage to babyrage on first down and dc. This is the most frustrating part of soloqueue.

That may be, but THAT is how every M2 should feel. It isn't my job to balance it just to say it feels terrible if its not FLUID. So they should balance the abilities around that feel. Whatever they'd require to make it work. So be it. Oh and the only problem Deathslinger ever had was the sheer amount of whiners that play Survivor and wanted that nerfed for no reason. Blah blah blah...saying there is no time to react is the dumbest excuse they could've used, but they got what they wanted. Whining gets these devs down on their knees, oh but only if it is coming from the Survivor side..
The lesson is. People would rather complain than learn how to go against something that is clearly counterable. Deathslinger was not Nurse tier when he was released so anyone that complained about that quick aim was just dumb.

So you say, however i just don't believe it's possible to make powers that attack directly feel 100% fluid by making it ready instantly because the side effect of it would be that it would become too oppressive, there has to be a compromise in some way to keep it in check.

I think you're on the recieving end of it so often when you play a lot of killer, no matter how you play, that you can't help get a little jaded about the community in general.
I've seen plenty of salty killers but usually when they lose, but a lot of survivors get salty and abusive win or lose.
That said though I've plenty of positive interactions with good gamers on both sides, even ones that started a lil salty and ended up being a laugh.

I've seen plenty of salt from survivors myself. It's more common than not, to the point I have to prep myself close to the round to be witty and/or polite.

Region? Time of day played? Platform? With or without crossplay?
Without the above info any argument about queue times is worthless and just a subjective experience.
And I will die on this hill demanding for the inclusion of said info in any queue time discussion. Just like i made a thread about it 2 years ago to include this info into the profile bio on this forum like in another forums where games/platforms or other info is directly displayed for each forum member directly under every of their comments.

Oh I totally agree. Just played killer yesterday for a little more than usual and came across plenty of those kind of survivors.
my point still stands. Generalizing all survivor players like that is disgusting and acting like all killer players are saints is just delusional. You obviously notice more survivors being like that, because there is more of them in general and they often either swf or even solo teaming up against the killer. But just looking in these forums there is plenty of killer players having that same mentality of complaining and insulting and crying

For me personally, that's not bothered me too much. The actual movement of all the killers around the map is pretty uninterrupted, some being much faster than others, but in my mind the abilities being clunky is just cooldown management.

i see way more killers complaining about survivor perks than vice versa. Killers have even complained about how OP Spine Chill is, and i don't know the last time i or anyone i know used that last. Spine chill is one of the LEAST helpful perks for survivors and its still somehow too much for killers to handle.

And I see Survivors complain about:
- Their fun, and how Killers should put it above trying to win.
- Killers not giving Final Survivor the hatch/gate.
- Killer perks.
- Killer powers.
- Camping
- Tunneling
- Slugging
- I've seen Survivors complain about a Killer before the Killer is even on the PTB.
I could go on and on. But if a Killer does or has something; Survivors will complain it's OP, or unfun, or anti-fun, or broken. Or whatever new buzzword they want to use that means 'Nerf it because I want EZ wins.'
So, again; your point?

and i see killers complain about:
- getting 4k by any means, including tunneling, facecamping, etc etc at the cost of enjoying a round
- survivors coordinating with other survivors
- survivor perks
- survivor playstyles
- tea bagging
- booping
- ive seen killers complain about survivros just because they pick a new character in the lobby, and or something even less understandable, playing a specific character at alll
I could go on and on about what killers have issues with, which is litterally everything a survivor does or could do,. Scroll through the forum, take a shot for every post that complains about survivors and yo'll likely get liver failure withing the hour. Take a shot for every survivor complaining about killers and you'll likely get a good buzz going.
So again, my point is that however you killer mains have convinced yourselves that you're the unequivocal martyr of the DBD realm, it goes both ways.
There will never be a way to keep everyone who plays this game 100% happy or make it 100% balanced. The least people could do, though, is get over their selves and play the game without nitpicking every single Gdang thing the survivors/killers are doing

- never ever seen a killer complain that they didn´t get a 4k. Only seen killers complain about getting barely 4 hooks before the gates are powered. Which is a reasonable complaint. Don´t you think?
- SWF have a 15% higher escape rate. (devs never specified on which ranks, if its across all players, then high mmr survivors are most likeley to escape far more often).
- Only seeing complaints about DH and CoH. Which come along with Corrupt, Undying and Ruin complaints.

- To put this into perspective. A killer getting 4 hooks through the match is the equivalent of survivors completing 2 gens through the match.
- Oh a 15% higher escape rate is something huge. If a killer had a 15% higher kill rate, then people would call for hard nerfs.
