I understand the tunneling
Honestly, I do, the meta for killers requires us to tunnel survivors because of how unbalanced the maps are, how survivors perks affect the overall game, sincerly, killer perks feels bad, might as well not equip 1 and just play without them, sadly, I'm finishing this rift then leaving DbD

I'm just tunneling, camping and slugging for my entertainment at this point. Largely because of the boons.

I'll just start tunneling because survivors meta perks are too strong right now, it sucks to end up like this but it's a sad truth, devs want survivors to be the main attraction of the game, killers haven't been decent sibce at least pre-patch Pyramid Head (I played when Oni came out on switch)

I understand it, and the camping, as well. It just doesn't happen to me often, or my teammates could have done something to stop it.
I have no problem camping or tunneling as killer, even though I'll get badmouthed as "not being able to get kills without playing like that". You don't say?

I tunneled before for the same reason. It's my license I paid for for my entertainment.

I just play the game and offer survivors a box of tissues when they say I “tunneled”, whatever that even means.

Every now and again I'll try a different approach and try not to tunnel but the results are always the same. You end up with 1-2 kills and survivors waiting at exit gates to teabag, even if it's been a long game with multiple hooks and chases there's just no respect shown for playing in a non toxic manner. Usually after a few games like that I'll just go back to tunneling the crap out of 1-2 survivors for the 3-4k. Maybe learn to respect the fact that a killer is playing in a non toxic way & less people will resort to tunneling every other game. On top of that killers literally have to deal with BS perks like DH & COH for 99% of their games.

I play how I like, and if they complain, my response is just "boons". Simple. The only effective counter is to tunnel.

It can be boring when on the receiving end but with the current state of balance, tunnelling and camping are necessary tools in many scenarios.
Survivors get CoH, DH, comms etc. Killers have to fight fire with fire.

I play fair as killer and survivors mock me for escaping? It makes me not wanna be nice anymore.

The whole tunneling discussion is just so tiresome. Why shouldnt u tunnel when u find a survivor out of position or they wasted their ds. Its literary giving up an advantage for some weird honor codex that some ppl make up to exist in DBD. Just play however u want and let the other side do the same. Only happens in DBD. Imagine someone in a fps game would be saying "Omg u shot me twice in a row; ur such a tunneler; reported". People in this game worry too much about how the other side should play and too little about how to improve their own gameplay basically.

Tunneling really just shows how unskilled a killer you are because your not multitasking and instead going for the ez downs. Especially when the killer has a 1 shot ability its like why tunnel that person out of the match your only hurting your own blood point gain. The only time I understand it is when ive looped them far too long and i messed up and got hit.

But when i play i will keep "tunneling" each survivor individually unitl first hook and then stop caring aka i got my bbq and the rest is just getting BP for arbitrary gameplay.
Will i get many kills with that? No.
Will i try to get kills? Hell no, not worth the stress.
Will they tbag in the exit gate? Probably/most likely. But they can bore themselves to death while i get something new to drink or go to the toilet or something.

Just play Nurse :D you can be blatantly OP and tunnel and camp even easier. Win win for any killer player.

Splitting up on gens just shows how unskilled you are as survivors because you are just making it easier to finish them quickly rather than prolonging the game for more blood points.
It’s a really silly thing to say from either perspective.
Eliminating someone early is often the best play you can make to apply pressure as killer.
“You need to multitask rather than go for easy downs.” That’s probably one of the stupidest things I’ve read on these forums. Sorry if that’s antagonising but seriously stop belittling your opponent just because they eliminate someone early rather than play the game your way, often to their own detriment.

I see a lot of people here saying "I start to tunnel" because of boons, meta perks. No. You are doing this because you want to, not because boons are op or I don't know what. Tunnelers will always find an excuse to tunnel no matter what. Before, their big excuse was a key. Now that keys are useless their reason are "syringe" and another things.
Funny thing is that meta perks are made to be used against this kind of playstyle. DS against tunneling, unbreakable against slugging, BT against camping. So why to play like this against these perks? I see no good point.

I think the point is that people don't need to justify how they play.
A player has no authority whatsoever on how another player chooses to play the game.
There is nothing wrong with saying "I don't like X," but saying "you are trash because you do X" is a problem.

I agree with you. People don't need to justify how they play. If someone is camping, tunneling etc I just move on to next match. Still, someone told me he tunneled me because I used syringe when I didn't even said something or complain about him tunneling me. It was funny tho

Well cause i bought the rift pass. And i want the pig costume. I do plan on quitting or rather taking a long break until balancing is fixed a lil better. It just doesnt feel worth trying in this game anymore tbh.

I don't sweat as hard.. but the possibility of a boon (or several) appearing late in the match doesn't stray far

The maps are a major factor to me. If I'm The Trapper and I get sent to Red Forest I know I'm screwed.
