Is the game still addicting to you after you take a longer break?
This might be the only multiplayer game I get back to and still feel like I am playing it for the first time when it comes to "enjoyment".
I can't even get back into other games after I get bored of them.
I dunno what makes dbd so different but I swear it is always the same for me. Whenever I start playing it again I basically binge it for a while until I get bored again. Rinse, repeat.

I loved spies vs. mercenaries in splinter cell chaos theory and this is basically the modern iteration of that. Hide and seek for adults never gets old.

I dunno which Sc I played back in the day. It was on ps2 I think, but I never tried multi. I'll check it out on yt.

i cant really say addicting, but i still get the urge to play it after a bit. all depends on what im playing in place of it, or if im doing anything in place of it.

Yeah it's not exactly the same since it was 2v2, but it's close. Agile, stealthy, relatively non-lethal players in 3rd person attempting to sneak past cumbersome lethal players in first person and do objectives.
The stealth was a lot more fleshed out and important in that one though, if the mercenary caught you out as a spy you were totally done for.

I’ve lost my addiction thankfully and am onto games I enjoy more. Feel no real need to come back atm

Yeah it might have something to do with me. If I'm not into the game like really into it, it is boring to me. So the only way for me to enjoy them is to become obsessed for a while lol.
I am glad you are enjoying yourself whatever that game might be. I was totally lost in Elden for a while recently.

Oh god the nostalgia flashback. SC 2 at lan parties and later chaos theory online for hundreds of hours. Good times and I remember all the people I met and regularly play it with back then.
To the topic, nah, last time i played DBD was early February and before that mid December. One evening each and the only times i get any urge to play it again is when i lurk on these forums but once I start the game they evaporate in the main menu.

Because there's not really anything else like DBD out there.
Sure, HSHS and VHS might count, but those games don't have icons of horror that you can play as or face off against.
Dbd is a very unique game, and as someone who's taken a couple of long breaks, I can say that I quit because I get bored or burnt out of it, and I come back fresh and ready to start enjoying the unique kind of game it offers again.

I lost almost all interest on the game, as I was arguing in this forum with the devs to take one of their patches back and even I was by far not alone to this time with this hope and mindset, ->they didn't do it and since then I just sometimes look again in the game, or those forums if they have in the meanwhile take the patch back, or something like this.
I love to play games, but I have 2 terra byte of them on my plate and so I find always something else, like at the moment Team Fortress 2, Empire of Sin and Mass Effect: Andromeda (yeah I know it is ######### compared to 1-3 but I play it more for the "atmosphere" as for the story).
It is a bit unfortunate too, because I bet I would also enjoy many aspects in dbd again, or for the first time (like the new killer, the shape, ghostface, the artist and jill valentine [don't know why but I find her super sexy blush ]), but I can't play a game which has deleted the most fun factor for me in the game, especially since it was and is payed content we talk about here and that is something, that is at least for me important.
