Can we talk about the red stain?
I think it's really anti-aesthetic, personally it ruins the presence of the killer.
I know that just going on the moonwalk is enough to do mindgames, but still it could be a way to make the chases more interesting by helping the killer in the already safe Jungle gyms, not being sure which direction the killer is coming from puts anxiety and in a Horror game is a positive thing.
What do you think, would you do a test without the red staint?

More no than yes, in my opinion it should be left, but I would still do a test in PTB
I kinda like the red stain. I find it atmospheric and suits the game giving all the killers something in common.

No, I think survivors need the red stain to play
I like the red stain because it gives off a creepy vibe. But if it were to be changed, that means all perks that effect the red stain have to be changed with it.

From the perspective of a killer, mindgames are fun to pull off so I'd prefer it be kept.
Also if it were removed I think Oblivious might become a lot more powerful

You would make already strong killers stronger and stealth ones would lose even more appeal if you remove it completely for everyone. I know there is tr sound and music but being visually unpredictable plays important part as well.

I think the red stain and terror radius take away from the horror aspect of the game in a major way. Getting to know where the killer is and what way they're facing at all times makes it feel more like I'm just in a game of tag. Other games have shown that there's other ways that tracking can be done without breaking the ambiance.
I feel it's a dated concept that made sense in the beginning but could easily be taken out or replaced without it doing anything bad to the game. I feel it'd actually make it more fun.
Why do you think so many people enjoy playing jump scare Myers?

Red Stain is a really stupid mechanic, yeah.
-It's made pointless on the Killer side by moonwalking.
-It's made pointless on the Survivor side by having a 360 degree rotation camera.
-It looks dumb. Why does the Killer need car headlights.
-It forces Killers to moonwalk, which makes them look even goofier.
Just dumpster the mechanic. It's dumb as hell and looks really bad.
Plus the only mechanics that interact with it are Undetectable, which wouldn't need to be changed at all, since it just removes the Red Stain, and one of Doctor's Madness effects, which can just be replaced with something else. That's a total of 2 mechanics that interact with the Red Stain, one of which already removes the Red Stain, so it wouldnt be a massive undertaking to remove it from the game entirely.

I'm open to the idea of it, but I want it noted I think the reason moonwalks and effects removing the red stain are so effective because there is a red stain normally.
Same concept kind of goes like this, if a survivor is going up against an expert killer that is frequently not used with an unorthodox playstyle, they are more likely to get sacrificed the first few games than the tenth or so if they go against that same killer for multiple games in a row. Sure, they didn't know how to counter it the first few games, but since then they adapted and it isn't as threatening.
Permanently taking away the red stain punishes good killers who used it skillfully and rewards bad killers that aren't trying to be subtle about their stain, and then eventually survivors adapt and that's probably bad. Again, I'm open to the idea of a PTB or multiple tests, but I'm skeptical that removing it would be a good thing.

It's a fundamental part of the core game.
If you don't like it, get an Undetectable perk.
Part of the entire draw for that status is the removal of the red stain. Getting rid of it base kit shifts the dynamic of the game and hard nerfs Undetectable.
