sbmm needs a rework
Why do you guys think BHVR implemented it in the first place, why haven't they reworked it - and why is it still being used? Should BHVR create different game modes, one casual and one comp? How will SBMM impact the game in the future with more and more perks being released? How can we remedy this?
edit: what improvements do you guys think BHVR will/can implement on the current sbmm?

Because they want the game to be like hockey.

More perks later means more hockey.

Also it's putting me against very new killers a lot
I bet they don't have a lot of fun when they have a very long chase against me

No matchmaking system is going to work with the massive shortage of killers during most of the day, unless we’re going to start making survivors wait an hour for a match. For any matchmaking system to function, we need more killers. BHVR has to make playing killer more appealing because right now it’s often kinda miserable.

You can't remedy a bad decision you can either double down which they've done or admit defeat and go back to simpler times which will never happen because Behavior admitting their wrong is like Pigs flying it's a fantasy.

Well, I can certainly answer that first question; they implemented it because the old system was awful and something better was sorely needed.
As for the others... they haven't reworked it because they know what's wrong with it and are presumably fixing it, and it's still being used because it's not as though they can turn it off while fixing it.
I see no reason to implement two separate game modes, there's no reason to add in a competitive mode to this game when it doesn't really support it. No idea how SBMM will impact the game as more perks are released, I'm not sure what the connection is there...?
And finally, it can be remedied by fixing the part that's broken - specifically, it handling backfill poorly and practising speed over accuracy in some cases.

Realistically, a high MMR SWF would be waiting an hour or more for a match if SBMM was actually doing it's job, and certain killer players would be facing the same small group of survivors over and over again.

SBMM should just be removed. Improve the ''old'' ranking system and the game becomes more fun again...
