I have been getting little lag spikes here and there wich i used too not get

i have a really good pc and was able to play on high graphics now i have to turn them down to medium or low just to play and dbd in the task manager can go up to like 72-80 in gpu even sometimes 90. and the memorys it uses is high aswell idk if thats causing it too but rn its using 9 cpu 73 percent gpu and alot of memory and disk on the task manager. What happens is these little lag spikes i have mess me up with certain things that would get me a down or escape the killer or anything like that and messes me up with just a tiny little lag spike or a huge lag spike that freezes my game entirely for like 20 seconds.is this normal and if it isnt normal is there anyway to fix this problem?
