Again with no change in Dead Hard?

Wrong.

No, it's not a strawman. It's true. People want to be bad at the game but also do good, so even though they have no concept of high level killer or high level survivor, they want to talk balance changes. If the pros and talking balance changes and the noobs are talking balance changes, they want the game to be competitive, not casual, whether you like it or not. People don't care about balance in a casual game. That's an oxymoron.

pls stop with the dead hard threads we get it the perk is to strong you know what else is to strong every other meta perk that people would make 10 billion posts about when dh gets nerfed

I play killer as much as survivor and i never have issues with dead hard sometimes you just get outplayed just play to have fun not 4k everytime

How do they get it to 99 beyond fat luck? Either they are not doing gens and just constantly running or they are lucky, or cheating to pretend thy do it every chase.

Just kill switch it already. Let's see survivors use brain cells.

If there was an item in Mario Kart that functioned exactly like the blue shell does now, but anyone in any position could obtain it, it hit everyone at once, and it stunned them for three times as long, people would rightfully care and talk about how it's a wildly unbalanced and unfun item to have in the game.
Mario Kart is obviously a casual game, and what's being described would obviously be a balance issue. There is, therefore, obviously a degree to which balance is actually important for casual games, because they're still competitive in a literal sense and people still want to have a relatively equal playing field- that's part of what makes them fun to play.

Then it's great that such an item does not exist in Mario Kart. That's why you never hear about balance changes in that game, because it's been fine for the longest and so nobody has complained.
In DBD you have perks that stun the killer for tunneling you even after he's hooked someone else, or make it impossible for you to even die to them once you're off hook at the end of the game. In a game where people are trying to champion that skill should be rewarded and that's what the balance should be based off of, we've seen no such thing because the devs and their cheerleaders in the community are tone deaf.

Adrenaline isn't really meta. Either you die before the endgame or it's overkill.

I'm... not sure I'm following your point?
Is your argument that people should stop talking about balance issues in DBD because... there are balance issues in DBD...?
0 -
No, they should keep talking about them. This game is a competitive game and has been for a long time, and has desperately needed balance changes so that competitive is fair for a long time. People claiming the game is still casual are in denial, and the only reason they still have any claim to the game being casual is because of the awful balance changes that they themselves influenced with all their bad takes. I'm not just saying for people to "git gud" at the game, I'm also saying they need to "git gud" at knowing what they're even talking about.

DH is the most broken thing in the game. It increases the duration of chases way to long, just stupid. It doesnt need a nerf, it needs to get deleted
2 -
Ah, I see.
Well, my point is more that it doesn't really matter whether they consider it a casual game or a competitive game; balance matters for both and the most egregious balance problems in this game would be relevant either way.

I can 100% agree with you on this. :)

dead hard getting rendered useless like CoH, will lead to a lot of 4k nurse matches. and you know everyone gon be a sweaty nurse main when it happens 😂

If everyone focuses the gens you'll always have adrenaline and if you equip adrenaline you're more than likely to focus gens so you don't have a wasted slot, when multiple survivors are running that perk it can be a complete game changer in the endgame, while it's not meta at the moment, due to the killer meta switching to dead man switch and scourge and other gen affecting perks it will go back to gen rushing adrenaline builds because survivors are gonna want to finish gens before the pressure gets put on them and they have wasted progress

Dead hard is fine imo. Lack of early game pressure is the real problem. Nerfing dead hard would be nothing more than a bandaid that solves nothing, except making the survivor experience a little worse without really making the killer experience better. Killers think itd be better because it'd shift the meta, but we all saw how shifting the meta with coh worked out . It might feel better at first, but after time when the meta shifts most will complain about something new while ignoring the real issue.

We have, we said it so many times that removing the distance is the best nerf to it, all it should be is a dodge perk, and hey, if they get rid of distance, it can't be an exhaustion perk, meaning you can run DH SB, it's a win win
0 -
If you need a perk to carry you.... maybe you're not a good survivor and that only applies to you

"JuSt BaiT iT OuT" - Some survivor main
3 -
Okay then how about playing the BUFFED killers for a week survivor main?
0 -
It won't. Sprint burst is skillful, dead hard is not. It's as simple as that. Even if sprint burst is arguably stronger, I'd rather get outplayed by a sprint burst user than an e presser
1 -
Didn't they say that they're looking to change Dead Hard like 2 Years ago?
1 -
No, that was when you could get hit and be exhausted on the ground, which Behavior went in and did fix however. It showcased how stupidly strong it can be, which is why they're having to go back and change it again, which is a very sensitive thing code wise since it involves ping.

My proposal for DH
- activates after being injured
- for 20? or so seconds, it is activate able, and after use causes exhaustion for 40 secs
- after the 20 seconds is over, it is no longer activate able and only triggers when the killer swings at you ( maybe causes deepwound?)

What was the timeframe between when they mentioned nerfing DS, then finally nerfing it? I couldn't tell you but it was a very long time. Try that timeframe.

Bruh, can't play this game anymore, DH is basekit now, basically nullify my powers just by pressing "E".
Yeah Behaviour, totally a fine perk.

I don't care about it being nerfed or buffed, the thing needs an entire ground-up rework. With DH they also should nerf Sprint Burst to compensate, maybe down to 2.5s of the speed. DH as a concept is just flawed as it allows survivors to literally negate a killer's power or prime moment with a perk, not an item that goes away after 1 use, not a perk that only has 1 use a game, it is a perk that anyone can have, that anyone can use once during a chase, even then, it is used for in-chase distance that can be the difference between a kill or a longer chase. It can't be perfectly balanced by it's current nature, not without a rework from the ground up
