How would the community feel if maps were more interactive and had hazards?
I have been thinking would It be fun for both sides to have maps be more interactive for both sides. Maybe there could be set hazards or barriers in maps that both sides can utilize for their benefit. You could also make it benefit killers more then survivors.
Maybe killers can have set hazards that damage survivors when triggered and survivors can make barriers.
It could promote some new strategies for both sides. There could also be unique hazards depending on the map.
What do you think?

We could have random tree's just snatch up people. Like in the Nicholas Cage movie of Lovecrafts color out of space :p

Not only this but I have also thought of adding weather and a day/night cycle to some maps. I think all these details would make maps really immersive.

Weather could be interesting. Like in Ormond if its snowing a lot then it could make footprints easier to be tracked

Yeah. Or maybe depending on the season it is at BHVR there is snow or storms or autumn leaves on some of the maps.

I was thinking of Crawl Spaces

So can I dump people in the car compactor while playing as wraith? Maybe make it an achievement xD
No? Ok. Can I collapse a bookcase on top of the killer in RPD library?

I wish. It would breathe new life into the game, which it desperately needs.

We could have lava pools and random lava rain appear, putting Survivors on fire.
Edit: And burning every bush in the process, killing any Claudettes hiding in it.

I wish more maps had it like temple
If you do the bottom gen you actually unlock a pretty good pallet for you to use

I was thinking of another thing similar to that. I don't know if you've ever played dead realm but in that game maps had interactive passageways where players could open doors with a lever or something or an elevator that you could actually use. I think stuff like that could be fun.

We need an ice map where everyone is sliding around uncontrollably.

We need a map where there's angry geese instead of crows

this would be cool

We already have map hazards/barriers...They are solely for the killer the overwhelming majority of the time.
Breakable walls are map barriers inherently and lets not kid ourselves they are solely there just to make the killer's life worse with them making infinites or being noob traps like the Badham school's doorway walls that make pseudo infinites.
Also for hazards less said about the weird pallets that can force the killer to fall down floors the better.

100% love. It'd open up gameplay and meta in exponentially greater and more interesting ways than even more perks and killers would.
That's essentially what pallets are: environmental hazards that affect killers. It'd be great fun for a killer to utilize traps as well.
Even something as simple as fall damage from a tremendous height, like the steel mill. Now build a stage with lots of platforms and pitfalls :) Ofc, if a killer fell from such a height, it'd be understandable if they dropped a survivor, or became stunned.

Bats if we get a vampire

Angry geese would just attack survivors and killers.

It'd make the maps even more rng based, but that's fine with me since I don't take this game seriously.

I'd love it but I doubt a big change like that would ever happen. Maybe in DBD 2.

Id like to see weather affects, snow for Ormond or rain elsewhere. Also think barrels or boxes could be knocked over to cause a noise notification. Smoke/Fire could be something else added thats environmental.

Never thought of that.
Could be made instead of map-offerings. I would need to know the concept to agree or disagree :'D

So with breakable wall is not enough...

I think of Identity V, on one map there is a tram that goes around the map that both sides can ride on, which periodically stops at a few points around the map. There's a cooldown to riding and it always drops you off at the next stop so you can't overuse it. If someone gets run over they are knocked back and stunned for a few seconds
On another map there is a cave system with 3 levels, and on the bottom floor there is an AI enemy which will attack survivors or stun the killer, the killer can attack it back. But there aren't any gens down there so it doesn't affect the game much, just kind of a neat element. There are also ladders going to/from each level which both sides can climb, but survivors have a strength meter that prevents them from climbing too much
There is another map that has mud puddles that slow people down and evil vases that make noise when anyone is close to them, and another map that has streams running through it that slow people down. Most things can benefit either side and don't affect the game that much but they give the maps a bit of personality that extends beyond the aesthetic level

I would love it, I had an idea while I was skiing to have a which was on a ski mountain, with a bottom half and a top half, you could slide down the mountain or use lifts and chairs to get up the mountain, both of which could be sabotaged by killer or survivor
