MMR is causing me to not play killer
I like this game generally and have been playing it for years but It's so hard for me to play killer when my first game as Huntress has me going against 4 survivors all using DS, Unbreakable, BT, and Dead Hard with thousands of hours. I like the idea of MMR just not when it's practically impossible to learn new killers. If the matchmaking was more forgiving I'd want to play killer so much more but I just have to stick with survivor for now.

I wish there is a training mode for all killers. It doesn't have to have bots, just put static survivors in there and let me practice my power.
What I do when I practice new killers even against good survs is just downing them and letting them wiggle out. Only going for chases until I feel confident enough to play normally.
Until then I don't take the game seriously.

And here I just put on NOED when im learning killers.
Basement Huntress with exhaust hatchets can help alleviate your problems.
Sometimes I don't even fight the horrible balance of the game anymore. If I am on some dumpster tier killer and the game is like "here's your sweaty 4 man" I usually just facecamp the 2k or dodge. 2k is the target balance right? Beats having to sweat for it, easier to camp at 5 gens. The devs have released the stats on how busted SWF is so no reason to get upset about it.
All you can do is play top tier killers with meta builds. Me? I have played so much Nurse when I started DbD I never want to play her again. I get more enjoyment basementing people anyways, even if it's not always super viable.

Yeah that would be nice. I also just wish the MMR worked better and didn't give me thousand hour survivors against my baby Huntress.

I just played a game where I got 3 people in the basement. Every person was running DS and unbreakable and I picked up all 3. That win was practically handed to me and I just lost because of perks. I don't think those perks should be nerfed it's just really unfortunate that I'm getting full stacked teams.

Yeah especially killers that you're trying to learn you will get matched against god tier survivors that will take advantage of you learning a new killer to act toxic and make fun of you

The game's are just so swingy. You 4k once vs. survivors who are not terribly good, then it's meta perk sweat squads for a couple games, then it's back to bad survs.
I miss the variety of the old system. It was less predictable.

That's how it goes. 4% is actually the dumbest mechanic in the game, especially one that's attempting to be a real competitive one. It's like oh, you expended 2-3+ gens getting these hooks that should win you the game? Nah. 4%. Begin the second chance perk chain.
Luckily there is Pyramid Head. He is kinda the answer to everything if you don't wanna spam Nurse/Blight. Just make sure you hit BT as they come off the hook so they can't locker DS you before you cage them.

It’s brutal for solo survivor too. In a squad of friends it’s ggez to the killer but as a solo I’m with trash teammates who are selfish and scared. No middle ground. I loved playing solo and having a challenge but these games are impossible with my teammates making the dumbest decisions

Mmr is mostly a farce anyway. It will prioritize speed over quality due tothe lack of killers so you'll see these survivors no matter what

Why would you want to play anything except SWF?

I've had this game for a year now and maybe clocked only about 100 hours as a killer, because of the difficulty and stress. I only play every couple months once I work up the nerve, lol, and it's fun maybe half the time. MMR hasn't changed my experience, both before and after it's felt like there simply weren't enough pro killers to take on the stronger teams.
The experience of playing a killer is nothing like it seems in the movies and games which DBD licenses and references. Needs more chill and sense of control.

Well I like killer when I'm evenly matched. I would play more of it.

I like the idea of playing Killer.
As I've participated in the tests, I've quickly been reminded why I quit.
