Did you enjoy mmr tests?

What do you think about those tests? Did you get a better experience than usual? Worse? No different?

I would say the first three days felt good but not the last ones. What i dislike about the basic mmr system is that my solo q experience is different from my killer experience: when i play killer i have solid survivor teams... but not in solo q.

With the mmr tests, my killer experience didn't change much (except that when i lost... it wasn't a complete defeat with two hooks: it was a real good match). My solo q survivor experience changed drastically, and i got better teammates that could handle the killer (even strong ones). So, when my team lost, it wasn't a four man at five gen defeat... it felt as a real good match.

I think they did good with those tests and i hope that they'll implement some of it in the future. What about you?

First and Second day felt really good, third was very odd, lots of Wraiths with noed.

Having a worse time now then i did during the tests. Constant map offerings today with SWF after SWF after SWF.

I feel bad for the people I am playing against. Several times I get someone or multiple someones who have 100 hours and end up in my lobby.

Whatever they are trying with MMR is a complete failure because kills do not reflect skill. Skill as a survivor is how well you can loop the killer and how much generator progress you can make while not being chased by the killer (as well as saves, breaking hexes and healing others).

If you finish a generator in 80 seconds and I finish mine in 74 seconds then I am "better" at fixing generators than you because I made several great checks (obviously ignoring perks & items).

Terrible teammates faced a lot of legions and twins doing the full slug play

Was awful, long queue and sweatfest as killer

A lot of gen allergics in my games, as well as camping/tunneling.

It is a bit strange to say mmr doesn't work when every killer admits that the game became harder for them since it was implemented... to the point that some just quitted.

No, the queue time is terrible.

I only had one unusual match the whole time either way (it was one where all four players where Iri 1 grade, which is rare even for swfs. Normally someone in the match hasn’t quite gotten there yet even if they’re good enough to do it.) I only play killer so queue times aren’t ever an issue, at least at the time I play.

Ironically last night was the oddest set of matches I’ve had in a while and the test was done the day before. Yesterday I played Huntress, who I’m terrible with since my aim is awful, and my first match was against what I’m pretty sure was a solid swf group - they all ran all purple teachable meta perks, had solid looping skills, and seemed to be coordinating which gen they wanted to work on as a group based on which survivor I was chasing and so forth. Tough match. But then the second match felt like average survivors, and the third match felt like all four survivors were pretty new to the game (they were diving into lockers to hide when I was able to see or hear them for instance). So it really ran the gamut. That’s actually pretty unusual, normally my matches are a little more consistent one way or another.

I prefer an optimized/competitive experience. I have fun by optimizing the game on both sides. Mindlessly playing for chases or Rift challenges is really boring to me.

Day 1: I would quit DbD. Killer was way too easy/boring and survivor was unplayable

    Day 2: meh

Day 3: most fun I've had in DbD in a long time

Day 4: meh. Survivor was really bad again. Had two teammates in every game with zero game sense whatsoever.

No, I want the normal MMR system where my teammates are on the same wavelength as me and not where one or two survivors are complete scrubs.

Cant have bad teammates when everyone is just playing nurse now sadly.

No. My survivor teammates were even worse than usual while killers were just marginally worse, easy 4k every single time. My killer games were a bit less sweaty, but not by much.

I got very fair matches for the most part. Sometimes i went spacebilly, and let the survivors escape, and that messed with it a bit which is expected.

this has been the best part of watching this,.... I posted this in another thread about MMR test:

    -------------------------------------

Streamer: "Man MMR sucks, I wish they would match me against players of my own skill"

Devs: "ok, here's your high MMR, you gotta wait longer to find others who spend 80 hours per week playing and match your skill"

Streamer: "hey wait, this is taking too long to find a lobby and then its all sweatlords, I jujst wanna kick back and have fun whats up?"

then make a YT video complaining about MMR

No. Monday all the killers were basically babies and teammates were really bad. Tuesday basically the same. Thursday was extremely sweaty (including hacking bots).

So far the most enjoyable day was Monday but I didn't enjoy it since I felt like I was bullying babies. I'd like a better version of monday's games.

For me, the problem is not just the MMr, but the structure of the game, I still keep being put on the hook by a Blight and he tunnels me when I am saved, I keep taking camp, and certainly if I play killer I will have problems with loops and pallets.

I think the imbalance weighs more because of the lack of resources that improve the players' experience

Got worse, if any tests other than day 1 happen I'll just uninstall.

Every day has been easy AF survivor games unless it's a nurse who just tunnels and killers been so miserable I cant play half the roster

I didn't enjoy it, no. I appreciate what they're doing by conducting these tests, but the matches I played while these tests were being conducted were largely frustrating and one-sided. At the very least I hope my struggles gave them some useful information.

You could definitely feel a shift from the loose days to the tight days - I'm happy to wait longer for more even games (I think day 2 felt pretty good), but we will see.
