Feedback on hook camping and rewards

It's a bit weird how you can loop a killer for the whole game and yet be rewarded less than everybody else. I suggest the following change:

  • While occupying the killer's time by being chased (or any other means*), any points earned (as a team) during the chase is rewarded to the one occupying the killer's time but with a multiplier. So if the other three survivors earn 6000 points in the meantime as you're being chased, you'd gain 2000 of those points.

* This should also apply while being hook camped. It's a bit ridiculous how you can literally occupy the killer's time for the entire match by being hook camped, and yet not earn any points for it when you are, as a matter of fact, carrying the whole team to victory in a way.

I think part of the reason hook camping feels so bad is because the game punishes you for it. But if you're rewarded for it, it wouldn't feel anywhere near as bad.

    I have advocated for something similar over and over. Folks want something punitive for the killer because they're upset about being camped. That obviously solves nothing. The better solution is to compensate survivors for occupying the killer and taking the bite out of being camped.

    The sad truth of DbD is that the survivor who does the most work almost always ends up with the least amount of points - even if they survive. Especially a survivor chased most or all of the trial.
